I've been trying to sell it for 1 ref for 1 month now.

But some how your proof looks good...

The market is confusing.

You have to follow your heart... So..yeah.. this is a disaster.

Somehow I always thought the strange version of the most overpowered weapon in tf2 would be worth more than a ref.

Its also the most common strange weapon http://stats.tf/cat/weapons/11, so that's probably why.

I kind of like the current range. For me, it's really easy to buy many at 0.66 and equally easy to sell at 1 ref.

These guys are getting lots of adds (and seem to be afk or have already sold). There were two other trades up for >4 months. Also afk.

If I wanted to go on the market and buy one for less than 1 ref, it would be challenging. Comments show that 0.66 is possible, but 1 ref does seem to be the most commonly traded price. In close situations, I always go with the community vote which is strong here.
