Also don't forget to look for the strange vintage camera beards. Even though they are vintage quality, there are some in market that are selling as well. Those should count towards the strange sales as long as you weed out the special levels and painted ones.

Ah I'm not so sure about those. Backpack.tf's bp examiner only counts them as 1.33, so I didn't include them.

Well but that's my point, we can't use them as proof for an exclusive item listed as vintage strange camera beards (doesn't exist yet on backpack pricing), but you can use them for regular sales since they are worth just as much as regular camera beards. Vintage and regular beards are both 1.33, so really it shouldn't matter if a regular or vintage one is strangified.

I got offered 2 keys and 3 ref for it too when I said no to 2 keys. took my trade down because I didn't want to sell it yet, and was sick of 2 key offers every day.

I suppose a strange vintage doesn't qualify as proof here?

owns 4, as if attempting to increase backpack. limited proof 5 looks does not determine the whole market and it took me 3 days to sell a painted australian gold for 2 keys, downvote

The fact that he owns multiples of this item does not invalidate the incontrovertible proof provided. As a matter of fact, a trader that often deals with a suggested item is usually a more reliable source for a given item as he will be more adept at noticing market trends.

Leveled one is not valid evidence. Painted ones aren't either. Link 3 is too old to be valid.

if he sold it at 2.9 keys with gold paint on it how come it's not evidence? the site calculates paints when naming an item's value in your backpack, and as offline said, the value would be 2.4 keys unpainted... also, link 3 was sold for 1 key, 3 ref, 1 exorcizor and 1 frenchman's formals, a total of 2.15-2.2 keys (link 3 was traded for the last link)

Link 3 was up since September 1st. If it takes you 50 days to get a price then it is obviously an outlier.

That's my point. If one has to wait a month or more to get offers, then it's obvious that is not indicative of the average market price

I don't know if it can help, but I've sold my strangifier on community market for 4.36€ (5.01 with fees) so if a key is 1.79€, it makes 2.5 keys just for the strangifier (the buyer paid 2.8 keys)

community market sales are not quite valid around here...

Not many of these available. But I think we've left this up for long enough. Enough time for people to provide additional proof in comments to show that 2.5 keys should be in the range.
