imo 16 flat is not accurate, there are still some solds at 17/16.5. Downvote for now

To prove that claim, you would need to find recent (that word's important because a lot of people are finding sales from a week ago) sales that, together, show that they can still consistently sell for seventeen keys.

I was just thinking of making a 16-16.5 or 16-17 key suggestion. I've seen plenty of sellers under 16 keys still with stock, ~~though its unclear whether 16 keys flat is accurate. I will, however, look at the proof now :P~~

I honestly think that this price drop is a bit much, 17 is only just possible, someone bellow has shown that, sure I guess 17 could be kinda removed from the range but 16.5 should at least stay.

It's not the first time in history bullshit like this is happening. Buds will rise back to 25+ anyway. It's the matter of who is going to be patient enough. It's currency. It flactuates and someone's gonna make one hell of a buck off this fluctuation.

no luck in selling at 16.5. lowering at 16 and after the 2nd bump,i got a buyer,then a buyer for 3 in seconds after.and then 3 dissapointed pplz who added me afterwards and i didn't have any buds anymore :P those 3 had pure,and another guy then added who had a shitty unusual

I didn't look through every link of proof you had but I looked through a lot and it seems like every seller is sold out or has their trade closed. Because of this 16 kind of looks like a quicksell price to me. Just from sitting around in trade servers 16.5 trades seem to still occur

Actually it can happen. BMOC have had a stable value the entire year, and so far the BMOC only goes up during holiday.

But if you look at BMOC they are

Desirable to have

Stable in keyvalue (yes I am aware that the value have gone up during Holiday and also on two occasions this Fall. But value has gone up, not down. )

Buds are still increasing in numbers and something that is often not discussed is the fact that buds get duped. When buds were up at 27 keys there were alot to gain from duping buds. And still when I checked some buds I noticed they are duped. But nobody(except collectors) seems to care if buds are duped or not.

So if the number of buds continue to increase only thing that will happen is that the value goes down.

The B.M.O.C. can be duplicated in exactly the same way as you've described.

If we treat buds like we treat all other items, really we should check if buds are duped or not on linked trades. Since the value here for 16 keys are for a clean bud(I assume). Yet I doubt anybody checks if buds are duped or not.

No, I made a destinction that the BMOC have been stable in price over a long time compared with buds that been below 10 keys and above 30 keys.

But I do think that not using promos as currency at all would be the best. All unusals should be valued in keys. If then players use buds to trade instead of keys that is still possible. But regardless what a bud is worth the unusal value will be the same. ( I know buds are valued in dollars, but keys should be listed instead of buds)

would anything change? buds would fall out of currency (as they are starting to), and people would just use max's/keys to price their unusuals

I understand that proof is kinda good but if the earbuds suggestion were disabled,TF2 Economy wouldn't crash,sellers are selling below the current price because they are feared if they can't sell at the time for below the current price.

But I understand many of that sales,are mainly quicksells and it's still possible to sell buds for 17 keys,just takes some hours..

If you can prove that, right now, they still sell for seventeen keys within "some" hours then that's counter-evidence. Thus, if you can prove that, then you can disprove this suggestion and get it closed.

The thing is you will always be able to find someone to sell below the backpack.tf price, so really, I think it should stop.
