Now ALL spells says they will expire after 11/11/2013 thanks to the new update, even the items with 2012 spells applied now say that, so either Valve will "fix" the glitch once and forever wiping ALL the spells making them seasonal exclusive or maybe they are planning making the spells as a "renewal" scheme that all spells applied gets wiped after halloween but in theory you aren't losing because you already piled up spell bottles from the event so you will only need to apply them again
