I would hope this is enough proof on the price. All offers i have seen have been around 4.5 keys. Not many people buy for 5. Please leave feedback. Also would love feedback on how to improve my price suggestions. Just getting into this :)
Thanks for reading all.
could you some actual sales
Yeah, no joke, we need to see sales for this price to go down. Sellers aren't going to do the trick.
That's if your raising a price, you can have unsolds for lower than the current price to lower the price.
So are the prices going to go down and down?
If people are actually wanting less than the actual price, that is enough proof to lower an item down.
What I meant was that 2 sellers at 4 keys won't make it 4-4,5 keys.
So why this rule doesn't work on keys?
Because any sales under the current price sells in .01 seconds, which technically, if you didn't know, is a quicksell.
TL;DR:
Not enough people selling at 4 keys
Not enough unsolds at more than 4.5 keys
Understood. I could definately find a TON more unsolds at over 4.5. i will get the others if you would like?
Well if noone is selling at 4 keys, a new range is better all-together
What you are not understanding is that there are 2 people who have offered 4 keys and another that commented stating he would buy for 4 keys.. THAT I FOUND. and two others who have offered 4 keys 2 ref. Prices arent set by what people are asking or selling it for. They are based on what the people PAY for them or are willing to pay. And i do not believe any of those offers were troll offers and they intended to pay what they offered. besides the offer on the guy asking 7 keys. That was a troll offer.
If they have not sold, they are not proof. It's a rule, and it's one not hard to follow.
Your suggested range must be verifiable. Provide enough proof to support your suggestions: "proof" refers to evidence which show what an item sells at.
Valid proof examples
Links to public trades with b/o below range and/or offers within the suggested range (tf2outpost, reddit, sourceop, etc)
Links to trades above suggested range which have been unsold for long periods of time.
Screenshots of successful trades with other users from your trade history.
Links to public trades with public offers on an item within the suggested price range.
You did not read the rules closely enough sir.
Good luck.
Well I sold mine for 5 keys http://imgur.com/cgBpWGQ . I may agree with 4,5 keys, but 4 keys in range, I think you need more proof I see only a few 4 keys sellers and these are invalid:
http://bazaar.tf/trade/332090 3 months old
http://bazaar.tf/trade/327173 3 months old
I agree. I should have just kept the suggested price at 4.5 keys. Im not sure if an admin can change this or when and IF this is accepted if they can just put the new price at 4.5.
Thanks for the feedback.
You only have 2 links for 4 keys (correct me if I am wrong) in which one of them is sold within 2 days (probably less) and unbumped for 5 days.
Staying neutral.
Well there is somebody who commented on one buying it for 4 keys.
another who was offered 4
Another who was offered 4
another who was offered 4 keys 2 ref
another offer of 4 keys 2 ref
It shows what the people are willing to pay. I am sorry i could not find any actual sales but i looked there wasnt a single one.. What people offer is most definately enough proof to lower a price not to raise if from what i have read.
It doesn't make sense to lower the price based on what people offer only if none of them are accepted.
Just because we see fucking 500 offers of 1 scrap on the Burning Team Captain doesn't mean the Burning Team Captain is worth 1 scrap :/
I value you opinion. I do however not value your rudeness. No need to get all angry and throw around the F bomb here man. Chill.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15653057 unsold at 5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15501094 unsold asking 5. up for a week.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15660053 unsold asking 5. only up for a day though
http://imgur.com/qOVFoWq <--- mine that sold for 4.5 in metal and festive huntsman.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13831965 Is actually sold, check item history.
But it was sold 1 month ago (if you check for the current owner's "added post".
But either ways its invalid proof for the suggested range.
Ah sorry. I guess i got lazy on that one XD thanks for pointing this out! Still not sure what he sold it for though 0_o
So yes it is invalid. Sorry for that one.
trades selling above 5 keys is invalid and not needed
Links to trades above suggested range which have been unsold for long periods of time.
From the rules. I guess either I have misinterpreted it or you have.. hmm
trades that aren't in the suggested range or current range is not needed unless raising the price as it proves nothing
Offers aren't enough to price a hat and unsold at 4.5 is not proof of 4.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15622045
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15564763
These are your only valid proofs for your low end. You will need more sellers / sales to prove that.
I need more sellers/sales at 4 keys? Hmm. I can try and find some. Problem is not many of these sell and so many of them are months old. But I shall try.
Do offers of 4 keys or a 4 key item count?
Offers can't be used as proof to lower the value of an item. Only sales or b/o's.
Then could you please clarify what this means?
Your suggested range must be verifiable. Provide enough proof to support your suggestions: "proof" refers to evidence which show what an item sells at.
Valid proof examples
Links to public trades with b/o below range and/or offers within the suggested range (tf2outpost, reddit, sourceop, etc)

Offers are valid proof in certain situations, such as when you are raising the value of an item. But think about it this way, if someone offered 1 scrap for a 10 key item, is that valid proof? How about 1 key? How about 6 keys? How about 9 keys? Where do you draw the line?
Prices here are supposed to be both what a seller is willing to sell for and what a buyer is willing to buy for. Not just one or the other. Buyers seem willing to pay 4 keys, but I'm not sure if enough sellers are willing to sell that low.
Ah okay. The rule on that is very vague and could cause a bit of confusion. Because it just states link to public trades with public offers. It doesn't say public offers and has been sold for that.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15671885 <---- selling for 4 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15490656 <--- asking 4.5 keys
http://bazaar.tf/trade/374613 <--- asking 4.5
http://bazaar.tf/trade/332090 <--- asking 4 keys
http://bazaar.tf/trade/327173 <--- asking 4 keys
Will hunt for more.
Your last 2 trades for 4 keys aren't valid I'm afraid. :|
http://bazaar.tf/trade/332090 - 3 months old. (Already sold - check history. Probably within a month due to interested buyer failing to buy.)
http://bazaar.tf/trade/327173 - 3 months old. (Same as above.)
Sorry! :/
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15660053 <--- lowered price to 4.5 keys from 5.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15700318 <-- not sure if it counts. He says he is quickselling it for 3 keys 5 ref.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15708921 <--- asking 4.5 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15708297 <--- asking 4 keys 2 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15707432 <---- another 4.5
I am seeing a pattern here. A lot more asking 4.5. So far i have only been able to find 4 people asking 4 keys and 1 asking 3 keys 5 ref. Will still search.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15713471 <---- asking 4.5 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15680400 <--- asking 4. keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15713760 <--- asking 4.5 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15714196 <---- asking 4.5
Ok, i decide to make my own little investigation. First sight - on classifieds. http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/id/5200a758ba2536c86a00000e
Here we can see up to 3 days-old 4.5 sellers and 6 day-old 4.8 seller
So - they could be unsolds, but it could be just not enough popular, but rare enough to sell fast.
Classifieds just shows us, that we can remove 5 keys from the current range.
Outpost told me, that 20% of trades are asking 6+ keys
65% are 5-5.5 keys unsolds
5% are 4.5-4.9 keys sellers
and 10% are open for offers
I see few 4 key sellers, but a lot of 5 key unsolds. Anyway, good luck with suggestion, i'm going to stay neutral.
Yeah lots of people area asking 6+ keys. But look at how old the posts are. Most are like 2-9 months old and still not bought. Most not all.
As you said a large portion of the 5 keys are not sold
there is a small portion asking 4.5 and an even smaller portion asking 4. But that is because many people see the high end value and shoot for the stars. There are lots of people offering 4-4.5 keys showing that a lot of people are willing to buy it at that price. Just few people are willing to sell at that price. I should have set the price to 4.5 keys not 4-4.5. but we will see how it goes
Like comments have said, 4 keys doesn't seem to happen enough to be part of the range. 4.5 keys seems pretty good though. And no, mods can't change your range, I'm afraid you will have to resuggest.
