Lots of price manipulators on here.

This item is not craftable, is not in demand whatsoever, and goes for around .44-1 ref. I've never seen someone sell or buy one of these at a ref before. A low demand item that no one wants jumps 4x its price...go home manips.

Please provide your claims with actual proof. I give you 5 mins for a reply with more than just words.

Maybe if you actually went through my outpost and bazaar trades, or actually ever traded a stock scarf. I've bought/sold well over 100 of these total. Hell, I just bought one for a rec on bazaar a few days ago. There is NO demand for it.

That was the case a few days ago. And then the strangifier got released and these became rare.

I don't see how the strangifier has anything to do with it. "When the Strangifier is used, the user will be prompted to select an item within their inventory. Upon confirmation, the Strangifier will be consumed and the selected item will be converted into one with a Strange quality, keeping the item's custom name or description, if it has one. This process cannot be reverted. Items with a quality besides Unique will retain their original name colours, and simply have Strange appended to the beginning."

That has nothing to do with the demand for this item.

What? People buy them and use the strangifiers on them to get a strange scarf.

That would not describe a 4x price jump on an unpopular misc item. People didn't suddenly think "oh, everyone with strangifiers, lets use them on stock scarfs so the original scarfs will go up!"

No need for proof since it jumps instantly and people worship backpack.tf and spreadsheet. Considering its 4x its price in just a few hours, it gave people enough time to change their buy/sell prices, so obviously, all your going to see now is 3 refs.

Go back on search history and look at buyers vs sellers and the cost. It isn't difficult.

Go and check all the links. The few buyers that waited for offers got many 3 ref and even 3.33 ref offers, one even sold for a key. If you put your scarf up for trade you will see.

The guy who suggested it be 3 refs - his link is broken.

The rest saying its supposed to be 1-1.33 are quoting outpost, the best manip site out there.
