For those that actually check the links, you will see that all of my resellers for buying at 6.22 and selling at 6.33 are out of stock for 6.33 and has an abundance of metal in stock for buying at 6.22. 6.33 does happen, but not enough to be a quickbuying trade but does indicate that 6.33 does happen.

However even though 6.22 appears to be a quickbuying trade, I am staying conservative. Key suggestions has been known for having a long history of closed suggestions and some of them are due to pushing the price heavily (*ahem* Long218 *ahem*).

Just going to put in my 2 cents. I paid today alone. 6.33 for 2 keys, 6.22 for 1 and 6.11 (in items/metal) for 1.

The last key was an offer from someone I had traded earlier in the day out of nowhere. 6.22 was on a trade server and the 6.33 were from outpost.

Seems like 6.11-6.33 would be a more accurate range considering people are routinely offering keys at 6.11 and 6.22. They may know that 6.33 is possible but they want their metal fast.

If they want metal fast, they would be quicksellers, yes? And you should know that quicksellers' prices do not count.

Here's my logic to a valid and invalid proof for bots because it's very situational and I'm tired of seeing people saying "bots aren't valid proof" when really they are.

Invalid - If bots are selling above current price or buying below current price, I believe it is invalid because people will buy for the sake of convenience of not having to deal with humans. It should also be clear that other people are having trouble selling at the bots price.

Valid - If bots are selling below current price or buying above current price (which is the case here), it is more than valid. Logically, why would you buy from humans that may be offline and slow and not even above market price when you have 24-hour service bot doing trades as fast as possible buying above market price?

That's my indication if bots are valid or not.

so what if bots are able to buy above current price, because they can sell even higher because of people wanting the convenience.

example:

a bot selling for 6.44, and sells rather fast because it is convenient.

Same bot is buying for 6.22, but does not buy fast enough to sell at 6.44, so buys at 6.33.

The only reason the bot would be buying at 6.33, is because it can sell easier at 6.44, while other players can't.

Well then again they have a lot of metal in stock so they basically have an unfair advantage. As of right now, 6.44 fulfills the convenience part and isn't ready to be part of the range. I suspect the only reason why they can buy is because again they have so much metal, not because of their abundance of sales. I remember when keys were I think 6.11? Scrap.tf was buying at 6.11 and selling at 6.22. I remembered they had over 260 keys in stock. No average trader can buy that much and it was very clear the only reason why scrap.tf can buy that much is because they have a crap ton of metal to begin with, not because of frequent 6.22 sales.

Of course I'm talking about large demanded commodities. It's a different story with items.

Even then they are still valid for a conservative bump up.

I don't have any proof or support but, I think increasing the price again is too soon. Try again a week later or so.

Way too easy to sell at 6.22, got 5 adds within 4 mins of putting up a classified. Hard to buy for 6.22 however.

Downvote, 6.22 is stil possible, i sell mine for 6.22 and even bought many for 6.11 and less, classifieds have some 6.22 left but most are highballs.

Yesterday I tried to buy a key. 6.22 were all offline, all 6.33 were sold out. Scrap.tf had 2 (!) keys available, and they buy them for 6.22 and sell for 6.44. So I ended up buying 6.33 key from my own tf2outpost trade. There're buyers for 6.33, so it's in no way a highballing price.
