Just a price update

Keys @6.22-6.33 - but not 5months ago.

1.15 = 7.22~ (1key + 1ref)

And to prove it's still possible and fairly easy to sell for 1key + 1ref -

Remember, it's just an update since 1.2 isn't 1key + 1ref anymore ^^

As you can see 1.2 keys is 1 key + 1 ref, you should saw the last suggestion accepted

    http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51e8508b4bd7b8b44c00000b

Means the're quick sells. you have to show unsolds at 1.2 keys xD

The reason people are doing 1 key and 1 ref is because people don't know how much .2 of one key in refined is.

Changing the range to 1.15 is just going to spark more confusion and make things worse.

        Downboat -> Pointless Change fajit

Oh god not another one of these suggestions...

You have 4 high 5 taunts :o Anyway up voted just sold one for 1 key 1 ref earlier ;3

i cant be the only one who thinks this is just an update of the price.

this was passed 5 months ago as 1 key+1 ref.

and you're trying to pass 1 key+1 ref.

feels like it doesnt have to be updated

            I did the same thing to Max's a while ago - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/525e94244dd7b8a3538b4568

Same with the rise of buds, it got reduced - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/528f57854cd7b896328b456b

Although there is quite a bit of difference

max can be pretty much considered a side-currency (or something like that) and .2 buds is a decent difference.

while with this, it is about a rec change, it is the same reason we didn't list prices at 1.17 i guess, this is a pricing guide, it does not need to be exact as sales will happen above and under the suggest price anyway.

Still good for fairly new people so they don't get confused with that .33

                  People can maths these days..

^above. comparing a max head to this is kinda useless. it doesnt prove any point at all. max head is/was ~43½ keys. and were 47½ keys. thats a 4 key drop.

this drop is 1/80 the size of that.

Yes but that's a bud change which has a more dynamic change. Here however this barely has any change when the price still indicates 1 key and 1 ref. Such a pointless change.

I tried doing this same thing last week and got raped anally by people against it.

                  I remember that xd

i remember i cracked up when i saw your reply to erik's comment

                    POINTLESS CHANGE POINTLESS!

                      dat 0.05 key change

Did you know that 1.2 keys is 1 key + 1 ref?

                        -_- easy downvote

                        example: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/529813f14cd7b837188b456b

I am not utterly certain, however, I belive the trades given as evidence were quick-sells. As stated above, the trades are sold, "sold without bump","sold 2 in 1-2 hours" and "sold within a day" when they were selled at a 1 key and 1 ref. Also I would like to address that 1.15 keys and 1.2 keys aren't a different price range.

I would upvote this if I thought it would pass. I'm tired of seeing people using a .2=1 ref method in classifieds and such. It is not just this Item that has problems. there are items with 1.8 keys and such as the listed price when they really mean 1.66 at best.

I currently use a .3= 2 ref method in my classifieds which gives .15=1 ref. This allows for easily readable prices that actually reflect a ~6ref key

"1.2 keys is meant to represent 1 key + 1 ref"

... And what about when Asking 1.8 for say a festive medigun. .8 by your logic is 4 ref but by actual math .5 keys (which people take for 3 ref easily) and .2 (your version of 1 ref) is only .7

And it's funny how many people put black/white up as 2.2 keys and expect 2 keys 2 ref

Well ideally you're supposed to take .2 as 1 ref, .33 as 2 ref, .5 as 3 ref, .66 as 4 ref, .8 at 5 ref. The pattern does not make sense, but it's what traders recognize as a price rather than using common mathematics while nobody recognize .8 as 4 ref.

No price in backpack.tf is arbitrary to traders, they are meant to be some sort of estimation.

All of your prices but the first follow simple mathematics (round a bit but generally around the real percentage of a key). .2 Is most definitely not 1 ref anymore. The question is whether or not people try to use bp.tf pricing to charge an extra .33+ ref for certain items that have prices based on .2=1ref math.

Tried the same thing with a mercs, it doesn't work.

People except 1.2 as 1 key + 1 ref, add anyone in the classifieds and put 1 key + 1 ref in the trade window, and you have a deal. Nobody really wants to sell for 7.55, so they round down and do that. Downboat for now

                              why would you do that

                                1.2 to 1.15, really?

*facepalm* if these kind of stupid suggestions are acknowledged by mods.

seriously all it does it make things more complicated for traders. Hey op, why dont you change it it to 1.115211111 so we can be trading half a weapon to match the price and a 1/10th of a scrap or whatever?

The simplest way to look at this is:

What do people accept as .3 keys? 2 ref (fairly standard within 1 scrap of real)

so therefor 1 ref = .3/2 = .15 easy to understand and 1 scrap more accurate than either .1 or .2 so significant.

edit:i fixed my significance math. (1 scrap more accurate than either .1 or .2 not 1 rec). doesn't matter to me but for someone whose most expensive item is 1 key 1 ref it would be a lot.

Pointless change; none of your links refer to 1 key + 1 ref as "1.2 keys" and the only person who does use decimals says "1.1 keys"

No reason to change it unless the terminology shifts, and you haven't shown that 1.15 is anything close to what actual traders use
