Old price, needs an update. Lots of people still looking for 2 buds in old/reopened trades with no interest, and the only recent sales are way, way under that.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15907835 - Unsold at 2 buds,
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15966113 - Unsold at 2 buds
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14680678 - Best offers are in unusuals, about 1.3-1.45 after applying quicksell pricing (Aces Carousers, Flies Panama)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15129308 - Best offer is a Phos Ketche, 1.35 after applying quicksell pricing
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16127791 - Unsold at 1 bud (most likely quicksell, but still no interest in 3 days)
****no_revenue [NOT CLOSED!]: 1 bud guy has a trade lock, so he can't trade for a few days, which is why it's unsold.
Sold:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15902082 - B/O of 28 (low end of current price), sold for 26 keys (~1.36 buds) about a week later.
I know there are supposed to be two sales, but given the 1.36 sale, 1.36-1.44 quicksell-adjusted unusual offers, and the current open (quicksell?) trade of a 1 bud B/O, I think 22-28 keys is pretty fair. The 1 bud one will most likely sell soon enough anyway.

Thanks, added to OP.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15902082 - selling for 1.4 buds
Your only sale is at ~1.4, so how did you get your range? (especially the low end)
The hat doesn't seem to move a lot. I checked the previous owner IDs for the ones I could find, and found mostly month-old trades (IDs still starting with 17, 18, 19), or no pricing information. However, there are numerous current postings and offers, so here's what I did for the range:
22 keys is the result of taking the 1 bud quicksale trade and applying a 0.85 scaling factor (halfway between full price and the 70% that most quicksell buyers ask for), 28 keys is the overpay-adjusted highest offer from the past three weeks, and the one sale fits this range at 1.36.
I figured an adjusted quicksale value would be the best I could get for a low-end number, and the most that people were willing to pay would be the best I could get for a high-end number, as long as I could find a sale which fit between the two (which is the link you and I posted).
Actually, looks like one bud guy just closed his without selling, I'm going to resuggest this.
