Currency suggestions are difficult, especially for first suggestions. I wish you good luck if you try in future :) Remember you need a metric fuck-ton of proof.

Actually, buds tend to drop during events. For example how they went down to about 16 Keys at Halloween. Reason is many people try and sell their buds for keys to unbox, buy event keys or sell on the steam market for the sales/festive keys from the store.

Look at the graph for buds last year. They dropped in mid-late December because the Mecha update happened on the 20th.

Mine actually took a while to sell at 18 keys ended up selling for 17.5 and that took half a day. upvote!

I would like to accept this, but other mods are convinced that our site affects the price of buds too much and that a one week cooldown is needed to avoid market panic.

I think not reporting an accurate price will quickly remove any influence we have on the market (i.e. reduced traffic to the site) so if that's their goal, they're probably well on their way.

The problem is: The site has a big influence. I was able to sell s. scorch shots quite frequently at 5 ref each and even bumped the price up to 6 ref. When I checked next the price was set at 3-3.33 ref and tons of 3 ref sellers were out there making it impossible to keep my price up.

I don't really want to blame you for wanting to be as accurate as possible. But you guys accepted the suggestion that fast it was impossible for me to provide counterproof and I'm sure the provided proof was only a low percentage of the trades that were really made.

It is true that if you keep the suggestion open for 1-2 days on new items the suggestion isn't accurate anymore. The only solution I'd have is to not allow price suggestions on too new items.

But I guess that leads too far into offtopic. Just wanted to give you a heads up as the occasion was quite fitting.

the faster an item is priced the worse fo trading them. At least u sold a few at this price. Soon there will be ~50000 s. scorch`s in game and they`ll possibly drop below s. detonator.

The 1 week cooldown is only valid for .25 keys in a difference; hence why my suggestion fro 18.5-19 was closed.

Earbuds must keep rising, it is an exclusivity, lt can't just be down voted because some idiots just want to buy it for a cheaper price. Earbuds is something we use to buy unusuals, think about it, if earbuds keep dropping, your unusuals will keep dropping as well. STOP DOWN VOTING EARBUDS!

Unusuals inversely adjust according to a rise or fall in earbud price. If this suggestion is passed, unusual prices in buds will go up rather than down.

Really? pfft I love it when other people make suggestions for currency other than Pyroman (Not dissing pyroman, I'm just saying that he is the only person that mainly does these types of suggestions)

Typical price manipulation aftermath: first they hype buds prices (18-20keys was BS, 20 key was almost impossible at that time), so people bought buds speculating that someone will keep artificially raising them till they peaked 24keys(just as they did with the 20keys high end) ,then people realized they've been fooled so they started getting rid of buds..

Also, its christmas. People are selling buds for keys, which they will unbox the new crates with.

Sir, it is not backpack.tf that is fluctuating the price of buds it is the buyers. Buyers don't tend to buy at high prices thus, sellers are forced to sell at low. Sometimes, buyers do tend to buy at high prices then sellers starts to sell at high price, therefore the price of buds keep fluctuating. In my opinion, I do think that 17-18 key per bud seems to be the average price because the price keeps coming back to this range.

then just leave it there and call it even. mission accomplished
