I saw a trade on outpost from a person who couldn't trade because his password was changed. He couldn't trade for 5 days, starting from 4 December, so now he sees his strange grenade launcher going down in price, and he can't do anything about it.

I saw a lot of people quickly selling at 2-3 keys as soon as the crate update was announced and nearly everyone which did manage to sell it for the 2-3 keys was because trade.tf listed it as like a +50% profit only to find out it's dropping like a rock :P

It's funny so many people are trying to sell at 2 keys or higher. Eventually, they will have to sell at 1 key or lower.

I sold mine for 2.5 keys because of trade.tf, when the guy asked me why I was selling it dirt cheap, I showed them the crate stats page.

He said "fuck you" then unadded and blocked me. Glorious.

I got 3 keys for mine, didn't get any questions asked lol

Got mine 1:1 for strange shotty, some how I feel he got the better deal :p

another day, another drop in price. simply due to how the whole uncrating system works, it won't even out until it gets below a key. until then, I shall wait.

I think it will go lower than a key. It is the second day crate 77 is available, and the price has dropped with 2,5 keys already.

it WILL get dirt cheap, just like every other re released stock strange, glad i traded mine plus a few keys a while back for a SF grenade launcher, minigun, you are next

That's just 5 of my 1.5 key trades(there were some that didn't make it to outpost). Please Notice how short each trade was up. Longest being the 3 launcher at once trade. 1.5 keys was a quicksell still about 12 hours ago.

This was yesterday still possible. More and more strange grenade launchers are unboxed so the price is going down. Yesterday the price was 2 - 3 keys.

And yesterday I was actually getting adds on my 1 key buy trade.

Today...still waiting......

All but 1 of the 1.5 key trades on classified's are from the same seller. The only 1.3 is from a guy on my friends list because he QUICKSELLS (maybe not very well but that's his goal).

Please show more trades at 1.3 that aren't sold in a couple hours.

EDIT: The 1.3 is gone from classifieds and one of the 1.5 from the bulk seller is gone in around 3 hours. These sell fast at the current price range (which was a bit premature anyway)

Doesn't matter. Their trade was open for several hours so it's not a quicksell. The sales actually happened so it should be in range.

I opened a 1.3 trade. It sold in about 1 minute (before I could put it up on outpost after putting on classifieds)

Just accept the price is going down. You can't do anything about it.

You seem to think that I care one way or another about a Strange Grenade Launcher. I made like 5 keys (i'd have to count) from this decrease so I could care less.

It just seems ridiculous that bp.tf should be leading the market decrease rather than just recording it. I demonstrated twice since you have opened this suggestion that 1.3 keys sells too quickly to be included in the price.

Are you seriously trying to tell me that I'm better at selling on outpost than some other people?

You say 1,3 keys is a quicksell. What is a 1 key sale then? A super quicksell? My proof is clear. The trades I listed were open for several hours, so the sales weren't quicksells.

sad to see a great strange go down but good to see i can afford one soon.people are right about this going to be 1 key or less because of there being more of a supply and less demand

it shouldnt even be any where near 1 key it needs to keep falling like all other stock stranges that have been re released like rocket, stickybomb and medigun

they were all even worth more than 4 keys this needs to go down to 0.66~2 ref you can't expect 1 key from a common non retired crate strange

I agree, but mind you that the Rocket, Sticky Bomb and Medigun have been out for a while, have many more in circulation and have botkiller variants.

However, given time, it will hit a low of about 2 refined and bounce back up.

the 1 key and 2 ref trader you listed must be online very little or have multiples because that trade has had 3 adds.

And as u can see "adds" hiden by users, not trade owner, so they have change their mind and decided not buying at this price, right ?

Most likely they just found another at the same price. I have many people both buyers and sellers that I miss every day simply because I wasn't on my computer at the time. Some people can't even wait 5 minutes.

As I think mostly people understood "where the river flows" and rejected their first ideas to buy this for that price.

Many people are trying to sell at 1,5 keys or higher, most of them are unsuccesful. Since the amount of strange grenade launchers is increasing, price is going down. Nothing can stop this.

I think, in the near future, the grenade launcher's price will drop to lower than 1 ref.

A key piece here is availability. If 1.3 keys is in the range, a buyer should be able to go on the market and easily find one for 1.3 keys. And I had a hard time finding one for that probably because they are getting sold very quickly.

As you said yourself it can be anythin within 12 hours, I think it's smart to wait to close this suggestion. Amount of grenade launchers is going up, and price is going down accordingly.

I agree it is very likely the launchers will be reasonable for the average trader to get at 1.3 keys very soon.

My main problem with this suggestion was that it was opened too soon.

It might have been opened too soon, although there were many sales at 1,3 keys. The price lowers less quickly than it normally would, and that's because of the traders who already had a trade at 4 keys, and now had to lower due to the re - release of the strange weapon. Wait 1 more day, and you'll see this will be a good price, however I agree with what you say this was opened too soon, as I mentioned as first sentence of this suggestion.

I have no doubt that 1.3 will at least be in the range in a couple of days. I closed my 1 key trade because too many people were starting to add me that it started to feel like my 1.3 key sales would slow down (late last night). I actually feel a 1.2 (1 key 1 ref) to 1.5 range will be perfectly reasonable by tomorrow (as you've pointed out there are too many people willing to settle for 1.3). 1 key flat is still a "super" quicksale because I KNOW I can sell it for more in very little time. The margin has closed enough though that it's not worth it for me.

actually when 1,5-2 was accepted there was only 1 seller under 2 in classifieds and all the proof was sold out. I appreaciate your point of view and I believe mods can slow down this colapse just by looking at availabilty. it s hype but we cant and shouldnt follow the hype as fast as it happens and therefore support it. so if it is sold in few minutes/hours it s still a quicksell no matter how many people quicksell just because there are 2 reasons to buy it

either you believe price is low enough

or you can sell for more

therefore accepting suggestions based on hype and qs is just manipulation and not very helpful. I believe you re very inteligent (and one of my favourite) mod so give it some time

Actually when I looked on outpost I saw about 3-5 sellers (can't remember exactly how many) at 1.5 keys. I always check the market before I accept any suggestion and wouldn't have accepted it if I didn't see availability at the low end.

right now I believe 1,5 flat is best since everything below is usually sold or very new (less than 3 hours) but soon 1,3 will take time to sell, I m just surprised it got enough positive votes considering 2 days ago it was just kinda stupid price drop since price atm is still rather 1,5 than anything else. but this price will soon come true

As you know from my post above, I am in agreement. But this is still a close enough call with enough support provided and a VERY strong community vote that I'm willing to keep this up for a while longer. I'm happy for another mod to assess this in the meantime if they so choose.

Dislike Poeple trying to CRASH a price off a VERY good item --

People were selling to me at 1 key yesterday with no problem. The price may not be solidly at 1.3 yet but it's getting there.

You were a buyer though and the price of items is not based on buyers, but on sellers.

I don't think you understand what tf2 economy is about.

Economy is based on the intersection of the prices that Buyers are willing to pay and what Sellers are willing to pay.

In most markets this will consist of a range (low price to high price). There may be outliers but generally speaking where profit is made is buying at the lowest a decent number of sellers are willing to take and selling at what a decent number of buyers are willing to pay.

Edit: now that I've looked at the lines I believe Pokemon Trainer was talking to Braiyans. Also, the TF2 economy is no different than any other simulated economy (although valve is the one controlling the simulation).

I hate them too but I ve got to tell you people are dumb. if they werent I wasnt that rich (thats only thing I like about that) but anyway, market would be flood with them and price would need to go down a lot. if you think about it logically if it is sure some item will go down you re gonna sell it asap and therefore profit or you just want to lose minimum. but fact is if they didnt try to it would slowly fell down to 2 keys and possibly would stay up to moment there would be just gl on market. the only valuable thing about gl was fact you couldnt easilly get crate and unbox it. now you can, and you just cant make profit over every crate

There's only 3 real ways to profit from items in crates: if its salvaged crate, if it’s a retired crate, or you get an unusual

btw if you get cancer unusual from 30 it is salvaged, retired, unusual and you re still not making profit. but still better than a mackerel. Hope hasnt happened to anyone

Yes, many people do. Otherwise it wouldn't have had such a high price to begin with. However, currently the market is ripe for resellers because there is a gap between what end buyers (people that keep them) are willing to pay and what original sellers are willing to take.

There were a few more recently sold at 1.3 keys that hadn't sold their gl yet. And now new postings in classifieds at 1.3 keys. 1.3 keys doesn't exactly fly off the shelf any more. Again, 1.5 keys might still be a better price, but this is close and in close situations I go with the community vote which is too strong to ignore here. And an increasing number of sellers at 1.3 makes me confident in accepting this price.
