How can you make suggestion to collector item? It just says "It is not possible to submit prices for the quality specified. Quality was changed to unique quality." , When i try
Seems good to me :3
Plz dan't price my guillotineSeems good to me as well
Wait, how did you suggest for a Collector Quality item?
When I try, it just says: "It is not possible to submit prices for the quality specified. Quality was changed to unique quality."
I'm wondering this as well. Maybe the site allows Pyroman to have a monopoly on Collector's suggestions.
Pyroman is a sneaky fuck and messes with the script of the site or something to do it. He posted something on the forums.
Inspect element.
You can suggest for Collector's now?
Any chance you have any proof for the Collector's Caber? I managed to dig up three trades with offers (one of which sold, the other have rejected offers)
Reggae sale could be an outlier, especially when somebody is selling it for 1.7 buds now...
The reggae sale was to someone who thought they would sell it for a profit. As you can see, he was the one who sold it for 1.7 in trade 2. The biggest complaint I have with all of these are using 2 week old trades to price collector's sets is a joke. They sold much better 2 weeks ago.
Yeah, I don't see the Winger getting any more than the Reggae I got, as the Winger was technically 1 of 2 at the time I believe.
Considering the Reggae sale took less than 4 hours I don't think it's much of an outlier, also very close to 1.7
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16278905 24 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16190653 offered a bud
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16125778 30 key buyout and been up for a week with no luck.
Long story short, using proof from weeks ago when things were far more rare and the collector's were paying much higher prices is not realistic. There is no way a collector's winger is worth 1.7-2 buds at this time.
Pyro stahp with the no offer links they take up space. They aren't needed in this.
L1: Valid
L2: Valid
L3: INVALID Stop putting 'No offers' proof. It's not proof and it does nothing to help you.
L4: INVALID Same as L3, stop with the 'No Offers/No Notable Offers'.
L5: Buyouts don't equal sales. He may sell for less therefore contradicting your proof. Also 30 keys is 1.66 repeating buds, close enough to 1.7, but if getting technical, it's low.
L6: Same as L3 and L4 stop with those unnecessary links..
Also, the 3rd link the person above me gave is a nice example to show that at the lower end of your price range Pyroman, it still doesn't work.
he's just showing all of the ones on the market, nothing wrong with that
It's not necessary to when making a suggestion. And why was my comment disliked, I'm pointing out the obvious when saying that 3 of his links are unnecessary. Also, me pointing out the b/o is at 1.7 is quite probable that they'll sell for under 1.7. It all contradicts and doesn't help his suggestion at all.
More proof is always better than less proof on rare items, even if it doesn't directly contribute to the established range.
I am pretty sure at this point no current proof contributes to the suggested range....
how so?
first link sold for smoking regg (2 buds)
second sold for steaming bubble pipe (1.7 buds)
"CURRENT" trades 3 weeks ago should not be used to determine the value of this stuff. 3 weeks ago collector's items were easily selling for way more than they do now. There is also the fact that the 2 buds one was bought by the person who then sold it for 1.7. Clearly he seemed to over-estimate the value and failed to flip it for a profit.
2 weeks*
The third link from the last now appears to only be asking around 1.5 buds too. When several sellers are now asking at or below the low end of the range suggested, how could it be accurate?
fair enough
I could't find any info on the wiki, do these count kills too? I understand the collector's angle in all of this but, seems kinda iffy to be paying such a high price for the same wep but this time covered in red outlines. Although the effort in it I really like, getting 200 of said item, makes me want to keep it if I had a chem set.
no, they just look red. I think they could be useful where a certain weapon slot doesn't have any expensive weps (such as festives)so just fill it with a collector's wep (for when making high tiered sets)
I notice that alot of the collector's trades only get offers for other collector's items. It seems that few people actually keep these things.
Also, if someone has a B/O of 1.7, isn't it probable that they'll sell for lower, making this range kinda wrong?

another person with 30 key buyout and no offer
too high for current market
i have one of these, and currently i have offer on a guys trade, cant check it currently, but if you want to find it, the trade has a flaming lantern l'inspecteur and a smoking cold killer
Upvote tho
really 5 days? I wanted to say all the trades are outdated an no one is going to pay that much. then I realised it s been here for almost a week. tbh 2 weeks are too long. I ve been recently selling collector tomislav with almost 2 bud offers 2 weeks ago and I ended selling set + 30 collected for 9 keys (one was sold for 18 keys some time later). just btw one of the offers was winger set.
4 on market and none are getting any offers near close your range (and all have b/o 1,5-2)
best offers are about week old and worth buds at most. close this, this will never get 2 buds again
The thing is the thing was way off from the start, but I am guessing this has at least 80% upvote due to the person who made it. That is not a great situation to be in as an admin, but that fact that this is still up just makes the initial suggestion look worse everyday. I have sold several collector's sets with similiar experiences. Now I am selling the same set as last week with a lower price and getting less interest. If you have been watching steam market, you may notice the values have really gone down because people are trying to sell them before they go any lower.
