But you also have to understand I'm suggesting 4.33ref still be in the range (which I mention near the end of my proof) and have just as many sellers/solds in comparison to your 4.33ref solds you have provided (if not more and out all the solds at 4.33ref I could find).

And you know, some of your solds haven't been bumped either...

There's just as many sellers/sold at 4ref as there is 4.33ref sales.

While quality is important (amount of time it takes to sell), quantity is also important.

all the sellers at 4 ref were sold and its easy to sell at 4.33, the current price is fine.

If tryit selling one for 4.33 ref and after 2 day's still was't sold then i lowered it to 4 ref and took me few hours.

First, you're avoid the fact that plenty of sellers that are selling below "market price".

Second, you classified "quicksells" as trades that close early...With logic like this, it would be impossible to price other items such as keys

Third, you haven't provided sufficient amount of counter proof (if you show me twice the amount of solds at 4.33ref compared to 4.-4.22ref in today then I'll happily close this, no questions asked as it clearly shows that my suggestion doesn't reflect market prices).

Again, you're still not presenting a decent reason to close this suggestion...

I'm not convinced here, either. People always sell for above and below bp.tf values. Going on trade.tf and finding sellers under 4 ref isn't too helpful if there aren't current sellers on the market. Availability is very important to include a value in the price.

The other two open trades on outpost sold but didn't close their trades. But two brand new ones just came on classifieds 30 minutes ago at 4 ref.... Just not quite convinced that 4 ref should be in there.

Oh, it's just that I was basing the suggestion off it's commonly traded for price as I do for most of my other suggestions (unless I'm using it in the wrong context?)...I mean for a while it seem 4ref was it's most commonly traded for price (even more then 4.33ref) due to willing sellers during the last 3 days but I always check the market for everyday a suggestion I make that still in the judging phases to see if my suggestion can still accommodate for it's proposal.

But you are right about the availability though about finding one at 4ref and am starting to rethink this suggestion. Not sure if this is relevant but whenever I search for Viking Braiders on OP, just finding it difficult at 4.33ref (most of them are poorly bumped though -_-') due to the amount of special crafts, sellers at 4.66ref, levels and paints but is easier than 4ref though.

I don't know, the fact that someone with all your pricing knowledge and expertise is unconvinced at glance is starting to make me unconvinced now :S. But I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to inform me of this. The reason why I haven't closed this because over the last 4 days, there has been just as many people in the market selling at 4-4.22ref in comparison to the sold at the current suggested range (if not a little bit more). If you still feel that this suggestion is still unconvincing on why 4-4.22ref should be in the range, then I'll be more than happy to close it myself.

Well, I don't want to discount trade.tf, but the problem with trade.tf is that it limits your search to the low end sales. Keep in mind that people will always sell for above and below bp.tf value. So a price range of 4.33 implies that there are sellers at 4 and sellers at 4.66 or greater. Trade.tf does a great job finding those sellers at 4 but a poor job at identifying the successful trades at 4.66. The fact that there are few on the market at 4 suggests that it sells fast at 4. That's why I prefer availability on the market as a better benchmark than total number of sales at the low end value since it's easy to get a skewed perception by simply tagging trade.tf.

The reality is that this suggestion is probably close though perhaps a bit early. I'll let another mod take a look as well. Already since I posted that comment 12 hours ago, there are a few more sellers at 4 ref on the market.

Don't apologize XD This is our job. Unfortunately, there isn't an easy way to find sales for the high end. That's why I / we leave suggestions like this open for longer (2-4 days) to see if people can provide counterproof using examples of their own trades.

he got some counterproof thats shows 4 is quicksell and 4.33 sold very fast all his unsolds sold within a day

And again, 0 on the market for 4 ref. Availability is the key here. When we put 4 ref in the range, we imply that it's relatively easy to buy this for 4 ref. When a buyer can't just go on the market and find at least 1 for 4 ref, 4 ref shouldn't be in the range. There will always be sellers above and below bp.tf value. It seems this is one where the proof provided has captured the sellers at 4 ref from trade.tf but missed the successful sellers at 4.66.
