Sold for Burning Hotrod + BMOC, I ended up adding around 3 keys in sweets.
Hotrod is 9-10 using original price, or a recently admin suggested price of 9-9.8, BMOC is about 0.8-0.9, taking off 0.1-0.2 due to the sweets I added, that makes around 10.2, factoring overpay makes 9.2
Thats the most recent sale, a couple days ago.

Bought mine from Mercator Dream Hatter about a month ago.
Let X be the price of the slug.
I bought it with a clean disco headsplitter, and he paid the slug, an aces exe, and a smoking tam. Using original prices, the formula for the slug price would be:
20.6 * 0.9 = X + 9.5 + 0.9
~19 = X + 9.5 + 1 (I rounded up the Headsplitter so I also rounded up the Tam)
Since I math, X is 8.5
These are the only 2 sales in the last several months, I hope its sufficient. All hats in question are clean, original prices used, and overpay calculated. Now the price of the hat seems pretty in range as compared to other effects as well :3
oh wow dat drop

have an upvote good sir
Sorry, I forgot about the BMOC, you don't have to calculate overpay for that actually, but it will probably make a really small change anyways
Since B.M.O.C was 15.5 - 16 at the time of the trade and buds were 18 it makes B.M.O.C worth ~0.9
Hotrod is either 8.5 or 8.6 after overpay (original price is 9 - 10, it comes to be 8.55)
Total Sale: either 9.4 or 9.5
Sorry I forgot the B.M.O.C
REALLY TINY small change anyways between 9.2 to 9.4 or so
I think you should wait for a mod to comment
Think keeping the slug low end at 8.5 is fair, since we did some generous rounding with the headsplitter.
I also ended up adding about 3 keys to the trade after alot of haggling, so i think 9.2 is fine for now.
I'll wait for the mods to comment I guess.
Heres the snippet for our trade, as you can see I added to the trade as well

I think 9.2 is a good high end.
But its up to the mods.

Offers:
RA robo-modest ~10.5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16309697 - the guy you sold it to already sold it for a misty fedora. originally 12-13, new suggestion for it at ~11.3. A bmoc was added and it was offered, so no overpay --> http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16281779 That sale comes out to ~10.5.
Seems like the high end should be 10.5 based both on the sale and the offer in the other trade.
As for setting the low end, that depends on your 3:1 sale. Usually in a 3:1 trade the person with 3 hats offers. Was the slug offered to you for the headsplitter or did you offer the headsplitter on the three hats? If he offered the slug, no overpay should be applied and that sale comes close to 9.5, so the range would be 9.5-10.5. If you offered on his 3 hats, then it should be 8.5-10.5. In situations like these, it's usually better to go with the conservative bump down and something close to 9.5-10.5 would seem reasonable. But whichever range you go with, the high end is off here.
