Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 6.66 ref

Have you tried? I sold 200+ keys at 7 ref since the 17th... all to one guy! And he's making profit (steam wallet > sale items > ref > keys > steam wallet).

My outpost trade is at 7.33 because I can't restock at 6.66 fast enough to sell to everyone.

Not the only thing that's full. If you have no idea how they sell at a price, don't make claims about how they sell at that price.

Funny, that's exactly the range I'm buying and selling at. A 2-scrap range at 5 ref and a 3-scrap range at 7 ref are the same size, do you see why?

Also, they sell faster at 7 than they can be bought at 6.66, so even if the range is too big, it's 6.66 that should be excluded, and 7 included.

Again. If you make it reasonable, you should put a range and that range should be 6.66-7 ref. 6.88,7 ref became much more easy to sell if you look on op. Out of the topic: I said and I'm saying again these key suggestions are insane, helping robbers, and most important not helping people and won't be useful in the future. Because key prices won't drop if it goes like this. Never. Prices will be 7-7.33 ref in 2 days after this suggestion, what.. can you imagine key will be at 15 ref in this summer. Pfft ridiculous. My opinion is that valve must do something about it, for example: Craftable keys. Oh yeah dislike me more now, robbers.. heh.

There have been one or two on the Classifieds for 6.55 though today that I managed to get. However, my trade history isn't showing any items for some reason, so I can't prove that, unfortunately.

I think price should be higher and with a range since you have proof of higher, I can't find keys for less than 6.77 :(

can you cite a single open trade at 6.66? If there are zero keys for sale at that price, then that's not the price of keys.

I searched for at least an hour on tf2op and the absolute lowest price I could find was 6.55 being sold by a bot. There are so many people selling for 7 I nearly pulled my hair out in frustration. I honestly think the range should be higher, considering that a minimum of 346 sales were made by people selling for 6.77 or more in the proof (I counted).

I needed to go to 5 different trade servers and ask for at least 8 hours before I was able to buy 2 keys (one for 6.55 and one for 6.66), so in my opinion, they are not easy to find at trade servers. I do see a lot of people buying keys for 6.44, but I have yet to see anyone actually get a key when they ask for that price.

You can watch 0.67 appear on backpack.tf when looking at tf2warehouse price, it's always being more accurate from math point of view (because it's calculated and not suggested by people), and, for example, tf2wh price for Strange Atomizer is 1.67, not 1.66 ref.

Technically a reclaimed is ".3̅3̅3̅...", but most traders don't want to type that every single time, and typing "1/3rd" takes longer. ".33" is accepted shorthand for a rec (just like "rec" is accepted shorthand for "reclaimed"). The entire point of shorthand, labels, and slang is that they trade accuracy for speed.

I think the range 6.66-6.77 would have fit better.

You answered your own question. Key prices increasing and bud prices in keys are decreasing because bud prices in refined aren't changing as much, and if keys reach a point where they equal as many refined as a bud, then buds will in fact be 1 key.

i dont think buds would be 1 key considering you can always get keys in the man.co store and you cant get buds anymore so technically since buds are of lesser quantity of keys it would mean that buds wont be decreasing so much as it would be equal to a key

TF2Finance is at 6.68 right now and trade.tf is most likely to raise from 6.55 within the next hour or two.

I completely agree with this new price but the only thing that confuses me is the claims that 7 ref sells very easily. I should check it out myself but it wouldn't change my vote either way.

You know, I constantly hear this being used, that the economy is crashing. Could you be kind enough to show me where it's crashing? I don't see how one item raising in price is crashing anything, especially when the metal you get to pay for these literally is free. There's no giant gap between the rich and the poor here, metal is just as easy to get for beginner traders as it is for rich traders.

If there's successful sellers going at 6.66 and even higher, and anything lower goes fast enough to be considered a quicksale, then does that not prove that the current range is incorrect and thus must be raised? If I wanted to make scrap profits, I'd buy lower than what the people can sell for, then resell at the same price as everyone else. If I couldn't sell higher, then it's not time for the range to include that price.

You can't really get a key right now for less then 6.66 BUT if the price will rise so fast to 6.66 the key sellers will sell it for 6.77-7.00 ref and like that the price will never stay still.. I think leaving it 6.44-6.55 is the right thing to do right now.

The proof seems quite do-able, it is just for keys thou.

Also just want to point out that the price of keys WILL always go up so long as more metal keeps spawning throughout tf2. More people playing means more weapon drops means more metal. Which btw I don't also understand why nobody ever bases a key price based on how many keys are in the world and how much refined is in the world. Backpack.tf has some link for those stats :l. But anyways that's just me rambling on,
