The hardest part about doing these is the amount of BBCode I type.

Large range, yes, however the price varied drastically, so it's necessary.

    Nice suggestion mate,upvote

May I ask why the pillar of hats with flaming lantern (0.5 buds difference to the next lower sell) is an outlier, but knifestorm prancers + phosphorus pugilists (0.5 buds difference to the next higher sell) is not?

Because A. The range is already larger than I want it to be, and B. Aces High is only a mid-tier effect and Cloud Crasher is a mid-tier hat, so having a lower range seems better than a higher range.

In the first thing you have a point, but I do not understand how having a lower range seems lower. Thats not really an argumentation which can be proved. You should take both in the range or none of them, but saying that it seems that one should not be taken in the range seems not legit.

I already stated why the higher end should not be taken into the range based on the effect tiers.

Thats not a reason to ignore a higher offer and take a lower instead. Effect tiers are based on how much they are wanted (or how much are payed for them) and if you ignore a higher sell you lower the effect tier.

I'm assuming that the original suggestion here was 3.2-5.8. 5.8 seems off to me with multiple b/o's under 5.5.

      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16823090 - b/o 5.5

      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16755365 - b/o 5 - would probably take 4 pure?

      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15893326 - b/o 5 - unsold for a month

      A few other things here.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16136350 - b/o 4; sold for the hw. Any sale higher than the b/o is overpay by definition. Our rule of using mid * 0.9 is contrived, but paying more than a hat's pure b/o is overpay in its truest form. That sale should not be valued above 4.

      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16210174 - b/o 5.5 - similar issue here. the hat shouldn't be valued above its b/o

      So the true sales here should be 3.2, 3.7, 4, 5.5, 6.3.

You might consider 3.7-5.5. But it really might be best to wait until a few more sell. I suspect with so many b/o's at 5-5.5 that over time sales many more sales will start happening under 5.
