I decided to make a little test myself:

From personal experience I might say 6.66 sells insanely fast and 6.77 does so a bit. I've yet got to try 6.88 and 7, though. Although, 6.66 should still be in range due to the (somewhat large) amount of sellers with that price.

The lack of buyers at 7 is notorious :P

6.66-6.88. 7 ref, while happening, tends to sit around a lot (as seen on comments form other suggestion).

On the other side, there's WAY too many buyers above 6.66 for it to be flat, and 6.88 happens rather frequently too, so it's there.

If you're going to downvote due to bias, STOP RIGHT THERE.

Solution: Don't vote at all. Mods try to use the community vote as reliably as possible. If you vote biasedly or blindly, it makes their job a lot harder. Valid - If bots are selling below current price or buying above current price (which is the case here), it is more than valid. Logically, why would you buy from humans that may be offline and slow and not even above market price when you have a 24-hour service bot doing trades as fast as possible buying above market price?

Invalid - If bots are selling above current price or buying below current price, I believe it is invalid because people will buy for the sake of convenience of not having to deal with humans. It should also be clear that other people are having trouble selling at the bots price.

Keys are a popular investment due to the near certainty that they'll go up. This certainty comes mainly from backpack.tf churning out prices that favor the upward direction, but that's what the market currently is and would probably be even without price sites.

It might be a feedback loop, but it's backpack's job to make sure that the current price is reflected, regardless of what it's influence is on it.

We don't magically raise the price, arbitrarily changing values like we want to. We report prices, following market trends and supporting our suggestions with proof. People are willing to pay more for keys each day, that's why they're rising.

That was different a year ago, however :/

The tool sales and arbitrageurs are generating enormous demand for keys. All those thousands and thousands of ToDs sold at 2 ref need to be turned back into steam $ somehow and keys are the logical choice.
