Sorry for constantly ressugesting , but as soon as price updates , hype goes even higher.

This is a big jump , but people really want this item , and so the price rocketjumps.

1.00 became impossible and 1.33 is pretty much quicksell.

So by judging in the amount of people willing to buy at 1.33 unsuccessfully , and the offers at 2+ ref , i guess 1.66-3 ref seems accurate because lower than that , barely any sale happens , and people is willing to offer within this range.

The one that got a 3 ref then 1 key offer has both a name change and description change so not too sure how valid it could be considered since its like using painted items to change a hats price.

Pretty much , I really liked the old short circuit more because it required skill to counter demospam , and was much more satisfactory.

Whatsoever a nerf will come soon , I main engineer and by using this gun I was able to stood in front of 6 players at mid-range barely getting injured. You become inmune to demoman , soldier , hunstman and long range pyros. They can only shotgun/smg/melee you and the only thing that can kill you at mid/long range are heavies and snipers. And also the only way to kill sentry nests now is sap+heavy über , and sapping isnt easy with good pyros.

Aw why does these things always happen to me i literally sold bunch of strange diamond backs and a genuine short circuit 1 - 2 days the update same thing happened to me during quickfix buff D:

Me on the other hand had a strange diamondback with critical parts for some reason. I never used it and i was lazy to sell it. But after the update i ended up selling it for 2.5 keys before hype started dying.

What exactly proves 3 ref though other than "hype"? The 3 ref offer is on the renamed/re-description item and then there is the one guy who offers 1 key but should really be considered an outlier since no other offers come near that.

Names/descriptions add 0 value, no one ever pays more for a name/desc. that's like saying people actually pay more for gifted tags.

I don't get how something that would normally cost a couple refined to do to an item could be said to never add value to an item. Like I understand if someone came up to me saying they wanted to buy something in item overpay I would not consider any re-names/descriptions for value but if I wanted to buy an item I definitely wouldn't mind paying a rec or two more for a rename I actually like especially if its a medigun.

That's actually not true, I've sold some of my stranges pretty quickly for 1 ref over the normal price just because it had a name...but it depends on if the name is good or not, gift tags can't be removed while names can, and that Short circuit was a reference, making it considered a good name.

Won't lie. This suggestion is too much of a gap in price. I would recommend 1.66~2 ref to be a better alternative.

The main reason why many people wants the short-circuit is because of the revamp they did on it. If you're on a server that has unlimited ammo feature, then you're going to have a glorified day of spamming the ever-living shit out of it. It's a broken weapon on those servers, so maybe that's the reason of their increased in price.

Votes are split, though leaning on the positive side. If I were to base this on the original proof, I'd be closing this. However, the extra proof provided over time sufficiently proves the high end. To address the issues in the comments: The range is wide, but that is not uncommon for items like this that see a sudden jump in demand. There was indeed initially insufficient proof of high end, this was rectified as proof continued to be provided over the past couple of days. One trade had tags that may increase value, but the price point continued to be proven across other trades that did not have tags.
