Been through serveral owners in the past 5 days, so now would be a good time to make a post about it.
I bought for a Vivid SnS, which I will not count as evidence due to it being more of a favor to the owner, since he originally traded to me for the SnS but wanted to trade back since he "treasured" the hat. He sold the hat 3 days later. Fuck altruism.

Sold for a Terror-Watt Barnstormer. I am not including this in the price range as the current price of a TW BS is innaccurate.

Sold quickly for a MN Fr-0. Can't really price due to no bp.tf price. But an estimate from past owners would be 2.25-2.75 buds

Sold also quickly+ sweets for a Searing Toque and Vivid Topi, valued at 1.1-1.3+ 1.3-1.7= 2.4-3 bud-.02 to account sweets= 2.2-2.8
Conclusion: that's the price, it's in a collector's backpack now where it'll stay for a while. I hate trading. Fuck everyone.
Rant: So I had this hat for about 2 months, avidly trying to sell it and posting it on multiple trade sites with no luck, and multiple retracted offers of hats that were sold when I contacted the owner I would have so taken. The next 4 owners get offers I would have quickly taken, and within a few days of me selling the damn hat. I think the TF2 trade world has a grudge against me.

Haha been there done that. Owned a secret tricorne (:O) after a few painful months I sold for about 9 in mixed (profit) the guy then sold it for about 11 mixed the next day.
Also I unboxed a towering pillar with arcana and sold for miami cannonball...The current owner is getting offers like over 15

You need two quantifiable sales. You believe your barnstormer sale to be too low, so that's an outlier. Vivid SnS's price is too old to be used, as is the stormy dragonborn. Miami robo-fro doesn't have a price, so that isn't proof either. The last bit of proof is a searing toque + vivid topi, of which you should account for overpay and get one price, not a price range. It's incorrect to apply 0.9* low and high ends to make a range. That sale would actually be 2.4, minus whatever sweets were included. As such, there is no evidence for the 2.8 high end.
