also offered harvest cowl and moon private eye + 0.5. Range seems a bit low here. Maybe 7.5-8.5 or even 8-8.5 would be better. Hard to base the low end on that iffy sale

Imo, new effect offers are often grossly inflated.

Isn't it frowned upon to use offers to set a high end when sales are provided?

True on the new effect bit, and I wouldn't suggest it if they were all new effects, but the burning rack is still there. And not sure where you are getting the second bit, but it wouldn't make sense to discount offers of 8.5 if it's made 3 times, would it?

The reason I thought that is because my Harvest Dapper suggestion was closed due to my high range being based on offers.

How come the Rack is 8.5? Looking at it's suggestion history it hasn't been updated in 3 months or so.

That is very different. He gave the rationale there. We usually prefer to go with conservative changes, especially when the value is uncertain. The more conservative change here would be 8-8.5.

I also just noticed that the tossle was originally 9-10, that sale is also 8.5, which pretty much confirms that this range is low. You need to go by original suggested values, not values that have changed due to hats originally priced in USD. This whole problem was fixed in the January update that converted all hat values to buds. But hats priced before January remain priced in USD, so their values keep changing. Tossle was originally 9-10. 8-8.5 would be a better range for sure.
