Any other uses other than the Spells on Helltower? Fancy effects, yes, but they only last like a few seconds.

I was pretty disappointed of the use of the diary, I thought it was going to be super useful in everday TF2 playing, or tell the origins of the Pyro.

how is this even hyped... It's so useless... I expected max heads to be more hype then this.

Gotta agree with you here, not sure where hype would come from an item that finally revealed its purpose after 2 years to be a Full Moon/Halloween only action slot item that shoots rainbow sparkles out for spells. I kept one forever and was very disappointed when they finally made it do this.

Probably because some people speculating that valve would most likely patch it up and are avoiding the max.

Been seeing a lot of owners of the max trying drag out the hype trying to give proof that valve intended it to happen and that it would stay when it clearly wasnt supposed to. Main argument was it was moved to the misc slot (everything was moved to misc slot), valve specifically patched up the ability to wear all conflicting miscs max being the only exception so people are speculating that it's most likely a glitch and will be fixed. (Why patch conflicting miscs and leave one behind...etc)
