You're following the 3 month old price on backpack.tf I expect. You misunderstand the functionality of that site. The next time you refresh your backpack page there, be sure to understand the line at the bottom that reads "Please note: Prices listed on this page are only a suggestion. Prices are managed through community vote and may not always be accurate". What you are witnessing here is the price of an item, that first appeared in a crate 18 months ago, increasing because nobody is opening the crates anymore and the item is still in demand. You will notice that this is one sale open on page 1/1 for this item, almost all of which are pricing the item at 1 key. The problem is that backpack.tf's price is incorrect, not the other way around. Please be sure you understand the market before making such comments. Thanks for your interest.

This is the TF2 economy. I don't upvote for reason. I upvote for proof. And with so much counter-proof, your proof is hard.

Also, if you unhide the comments on http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16798950, you'll see that none of them actually confirm a trade for 1 key. Your 6.77 ref one also hasn't been sold.

Honestly, only your 2nd link is good to me, it has 2 or 3 adds for 6 refs in the last week. That's good for .9, but I really don't think a key should be in there.

Lower the price to around 6 Refined. I sold mine 18 minutes after putting it up for sale for around that price. The buyer was eager and even willing to pay 5 ref + 2 craft hats, only charged him for the refined and 1 craft hat. I also got a few more friend requests following his.

Upvoted, and hopefully all voters learn that 3 refined isn't going to work. The part is becoming harder to come by, and all current trades/classified ads for it are at 1 key. Only one guy is 'selling' for 3 ref currently, and he hasn't accepted any friend requests from people who have posted and added him. tl;dr, Outdated price. Lower range to around the .8 Keys/6 Refined area. It's a better selling range.

I see so many people counting the "adds" from my trade, completely stupid considering the trade contains the phrase "Please don't add me, use trade offers". Use common sense please.

It's about time we caught up to the market price for this. Frankly, a wider range (0.8-1) to capture the wide range of sales would be better. But with so few selling, I really do think the suggested value is way better than the current price and probably close to its market value.
