This hat is still undergoing a price flux, but the previous price is six months old. With a market that seems to focus entirely on First-Gen effects and older hats, and bp.tf not having prices for most summer/robo effects, any hat that is a summer/robo effect is a hard sell. However, in this case, it's clear that the price has dropped significantly from the previous suggestion, when the hat was 1 of 1.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17475786 - Private Offer from Monga Puddin (http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/80470) of a Terror-Watt Brainiac and Harvest Moon Safe n Sound (~3.6) on a Cloudy Moon Towering Pillar (~11). That would put the Brainiac at roughly 7.3 buds.

So what did I ultimately wind up selling for? 6.5 pure through a private offer to a guy called Iceman (http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/10771), which was the best offer I'd seen in two weeks.

Offers and Current Trades:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16593425 - Has been trying to QS at 6 for a month. Got one offer of 6 pure, rest were definitely under that.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17003436 - On Outpost for 3 weeks. The highest offer was an overclocked Softcap (~2.5 on bp.tf) + Aces Head Warmer (~3.5) and an Orbit Fire Slope Scopers (~2.3). Even without the usual "90% rule", that's only around 8.3 buds unusual. Using the 90% rule, we get around 7.5 buds pure.

Harvest moon Safe n sound is 4~ using original values, though it's slightly outdated. Also offers don't work on lowering prices, only sales and B/Os below the current original price which is 8 flat right now.

Except for the part where I have two sales below 8.5, and a "quick" sell that never made it off the ground. The other trades all have 10 or 11-bud buyouts, but I doubt anyone with an unusual actually worth that much would offer.

Then you should do your range more accurately. If Harvest Moon Safe n Sound is valid being at 4, and the towering being 10.9 using .9 overpay rule, that put's the brainiac at 6.9~, so not sure where you get the 7.5 high end from. Also if there is a QS at 6 buds flat that hasnt even been taken yet, low end probably shouldn't be at 6.5.
