I'm re-posting this because someone in my other suggestion pointed out that my range could be improved slightly based on the evidence I had. Anyway, here's what I've got:

Sale 1:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17475786 - Private Offer from Monga Puddin (http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/80470) of a Terror-Watt Brainiac and Harvest Moon Safe n Sound (~4) on a Cloudy Moon Towering Pillar (~11). Using the 0.9 overpay rule, this means that the Brainiac is worth about 6.9 buds. This is where I got my high-end price from, as this is the highest I've actually seen one of these sell.

Sale 2:

I sold the hat from Sale 1 privately to Iceman (http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/10771) for 6.5 buds, which was the best offer I'd seen on my trade.

Other Proof:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17003436 - Unsold after 3 weeks with a buyout that was the same as the hat's price at the time (buds rose some since then, so the price shown now is slightly different from three weeks ago when it was closer to 9 buds).

Your trade is closed the moment opened, aka it seems as if you sold without a bump

Since the Safe n Sound and Brainiac were offered, no need to calculate overpay on your Cloudy Towering Pillar

In fact, you need to * 0.9 on the Safe n Sound and Brainiac since those were offered, which means Safe n Sound + Brainiac = Towering / 0.9

Harvest Safe n Sound original price is 4 - 5, ~4.5

Cloudy Moon Towering original price is 11.7 - 12.6, ~12.15, but since we need to do reverse overpay, it's actually ~13.5

So in other words, from this specific sale, the Brainiac is ~9 buds

If no reverse overpay is necessary, and mods want you to just take values as they are and no overpay since the hats themselves were offered

The sale is 12.2 - 4.5, ~7.7

If mods want you to calculate overpay only on Safe n Sound the sale is 12.2 - 4.1 = 8.1

Total Sale: 7.7 or 8.1 or 9 (depends on how they expect you to calculate overpay)

The sale above disapproves your range, which means no need to check next links as this sale, which you calculate wrong is your high end and it's calculated wrong so 1 of your ends is wrong...

The trade itself was merely to prove that I did, in fact, have the Pillar I said I did. The offer was made privately by the person whose profile I linked. Again, you can check backpack histories, they will match up.

There is absolutely no need to check anything else, if one of your ends is made by 1 sale and that 1 sale happens to have a different worth than the suggester stated (like in this case) the suggestion itself is wrong

The current b/o at 6 on the market is concerning, though, and I don't have a problem with using that as your low end.

Overall, that's ~2 sales around 8, 1 at 6, 1 b/o at 6, 1 at 6.5. I think a wider range of 6-8 would work here.
