i think 2 bud range is a little too much since traders and buyers don't know really how much the hat is and so i averaged the lows and the highs to get 6.12-7.38 average to the nearest 10th is 6.1-7.4

First of all, you need to use original prices. Second of all, a lot of those are outdated. Downvote.

first of all the original prices thing doesn't make any sense, second of all have you seen the statistics for a lot these hats most of the hats that have a price on them are outdated

ex:33/38 of the priced western wears have prices that are outdated that's 87%

i just randomly clicked on a hat and these are the numbers that i found, with these numbers your logic of well most of these prices are outdated makes no sense what so ever since you randomly pick a hat on backpack tf there is a above 50% chance that it be outdated price(or worse not even have a price) and for that most of the suggestions would rarely meet your expectations and would be downvoted until most if not all hats would be outdated. all i'm trying to do is lower that number with fair rule bound suggestions that will be a step to bringing this site back the reputation it once had.

No original values, pretty much most of these hats are outdated by 4+ months, and not calculating by taking original values median x .9. Sorry but you got no valid proof here and the math is all wrong.

A median is middle number in a series of numbers you make no sense for example if I had a series of numbers 1,2,4,7,9 and 4 would be the median because that is the middle number I have no idea what you are saying.

.9 is what you use when the hat is traded with another hat and not pure this term is called unusual overpay and that's why on people's buyouts 7 buds pure but then have 8 buds in unusuals and if the item is duped you would use .8 of the items price.

Now to address the issue with original price and outdated prices

1 if I use the original prices I would be using the most outdated prices so wouldn't that be just a big contradiction

2 as I have stated above statistical probability that if you randomly pick a unusual hat on backpack tf it would be an over 90% probability at least 50% of the price effects of that hat would be outdated

3 the term outdated prices is wrongly used, prices will very rarely change in extremes and will usually stay in a 1 bud range of what it used to be. The correct term you should be using is old prices because we don't have know if the price is outdated (meaning that the price would be not accurate or not revelant)

4 old prices aren't to be hated on they are rarely off and when the price is off it is usually off around by a marginal amount so there is valid evidence.

Please if you choose to comment again make justification on your agument or expand on it because I always love feed back, but refrain from posting the same comment, also expand on the median thing because I don't know what you're saying.

If you don't use original prices, which is one of the rules regardless, then this is a downvote.

And if you are using outdated hats which are over 3 months, they are not valid, another rule set by the admins themselves.

Yeah it makes it a fools game because the amount of suggestions going through a week is less than the amount of hats prices becoming old so at this rate it only means that it will become almost impossible to make a unusual suggestions based on those rules. Hopefully they reverse this or it will be a ever growing pain for suggesters.

You have been linked to our rules, so you should follow them. If you disagree with them, please make a thread in the forums and discuss. We would be more than willing to talk about such things. However, don't use suggestions to prove a point.

Also, you can use an old price if you make a mini-suggestion showing that old price is still valid. Basically back up an old price with 2-3 links of recent sales at that amount.
