It doesn't matter if the trade is still open. If I had a trade of a strange Market Gardener and a strange Minigun and the Market Gardener had sold 5 months ago but the trade was still open because of the Minigun, that Market Gardener sale could not be used as proof.

Just because one hour passes, outpost doesn't say the trade is 1 day and 1 hour old. The sale could have actually taken longer, because the trade may be 1.5 or 1.7 days old.
