I think one was sold for a killa tyrant, but I can't tell for sure if other items were added (i think it was conq + 1 bud) so it's not of much use. It's and old price anyway (~6 months old)

Current trades:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/192870186 B/O 6

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17702412 B/O 5 + 15keys = ~5.8

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15078268 B/O 6 buds

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17743787 B/O 4.5 buds

So since the sales I could find don't yield much help all I can really do is lower the price based on the current B/Os.

Your b/o of 4.5 has a b/o of 6.2. I think he made a mistake and fixed it?

I don't think so. It was 4.5 pure, 6 in unusuals. Maybe he's not as hard up for pure anymore. It was like that for a bit, like hours to a day prolly.

Maybe he saw this suggestion and changed it. Wouldn't be the first time.

Well, I hope you can see how that would be an issue here. Your sales are for unpriced hats. You are lowering by a huge amount based on a single b/o at 4.5 and it's not even 4.5 right now.

the 4.5 bud one just sold for a DP brainiac which is 5.6 buds using the old price, but there are 2 for sale with 5-6 bud b/os atm.

(You also said that you thought the price might be too high when you accepted it)

the 5.8 bud one now only wants 5 buds: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18009650 although they claim it's a quicksale

AF chef's hats can be bought for 6 buds: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17755775

DBD pampered pyros can be bought for 2.5 - 5 buds:

I still don't think this range is far off even if that one changed his notes after I made the suggestion. 5-6 would be more conservative I suppose, but i don't see the point tbh. I bet if someone offered 4.5 to all on the market someone would bite. I'm not the kind of guy that will do that just to prove a point though.

P.S. Please don't insult my intelligence with your attitude. Comments like "Well, I hope you can see how that would be an issue here." are demeaning, adversarial and unnecessary. This whole process should be teamwork, but there is way too much bitching and putting down in the PCing community here. The admins should not be ones conveying it, they should be trying to condemn it. I don't know if you have a problem with me personally or it's just your personality in general but this isn't the first time and I'm sick of it. As an admin you should be trying to set a good example. I know it would be trying to do that, but that's the job you signed up for. Peace.

" I hope you can see how that would be an issue here" - I'm sorry if you took it this way. Honestly, there is way too much of this going on - people automatically taking all comments in the most negative light.

Consider this from a moderator's perspective. We get tons of adds about people bitching about their hats getting lowered. Now I see a suggestion up lowering an old effect hat by 20-30%. The proof for the low end is based on a b/o of 4.5. I click on the link and I see the b/o is 6.2. I trust that you aren't lying. And I'm 100% sure the guy changed his b/o after seeing this suggestion since it had been up for a week. If he made a simple mistake he would have changed it a long time ago. But now what do I do? Objectively I can't pass this without proof that he'd take 4.5. If you'd like to offer 4.5 to show that sale, then maybe. My whole point was that I hoped you saw it from my perspective and why I can't pass this based on your word alone. Not because I don't trust it but because we pride ourselves on transparency on this website. Every accepted or rejected suggestion needs to have a crystal clear rationale. And this one does not, unfortunately.

It's all good man. i'll close and reopen with a more conservative range since he changed his notes.
