HINT: These are all BUYER trades, which means they are, in-general, lowballs.
http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Strange%20Silver%20Botkiller%20Rocket%20Launcher%20Mk.II
for reference, they are selling for $1.4-$2 on SCM and the seller gets a bare minimum of 3.66 at that price after all fees.
I am basing the top end off of SCM because outpost has nothing to show expect an obviously huge demand in the 2.66-3 refined range.
Of course If you dont like that I can always set the high end to 5 ref, the amount the first link sold for.
Why not the price 3 ref flat?
Because then I would be using entirely buyer trades to raise a price and quoting blind polar bear:
"no. because the buying price is likely too low and updating it implies that we have an updated price for it... "
I have to find sales and because no body is selling on outpost (HINT: everyone is selling on SCM) I look to SCM for my sales.
MY math for determining a price from SCM.
Seller sells his rocket launcher for $1.4 (The minimum range on SCM)
Seller gets $1.21 after fees
Seller can now buy 1/2 of a key (keys are 2.41 atm)
Seller gets ~3.5 refined
I round up to 3.66 for visual appeal and because I am already being super conservative
Market price indicates this is conservative
I sold mine for a Tour of Duty ticket and a Wilson Weave. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17865837
Of course, mine had Strange Part: Robot Spies Destroyed, so that makes mine invalid.
Well, there just aren't very many sales available. Even taking the part at full price, that sale is 4+.
Cheapest one on the market is a gifted one at 3.33 - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18136896
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18003609 - sold in hours at 2.66, though he's having trouble selling at 4 - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18065127
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17994349 - sold for 3.33 ref?
Given the buyers at 2.66-3, I'd say the sale at 2.66 is an outlier. There seems to be a sale at 3.33 and one at 4, though another one seems to be having trouble selling at 4. It's hard to pin a price down for this given how few sales there are, but the suggested range here is probably close to capturing its value. I do think 4 ref would be too high at the moment given that unsold for several days.
