http://puu.sh/71LVy.jpg - This was an offer on my Power Surge Hat of Cards. This is the reason I decided to check its price. Is 2.7-2.8 a good price anymore? Well, lets take a look and view the evidence.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18051862 - 2.2 bud buyout. He's had 4 or 5 closed trades with it being listed in his history. No offers.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17627170 - Wants Australium Scatter, Rocket, or Sniper. (2.5 buds in other words). Had an offer of an Australium Stickybomb With Professional Killstreak (Unsure on its value since its got a killstreak, but I do know they raise it so I'm going to say 2 buds with overpay). Also had an offer of a Dead Presidents Festivizer (2.3-2.6 based on a passed suggestion. Calling this 2.2 with Unusual overpay)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16432212 - B/O 2 buds/40 keys. Offer of a Knifestorm Birdcage 2 weeks ago (2-2.7 buds. Calling this 2.2 buds based with overpay)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17656081 - B/O Non 1 or 7 Max Head. (2.5 buds). Someone is preparing to get the Max Head as of 3 days ago. Not yet sold.
CONCLUSION.
2.7 seems like a bit of a stretch, with 2.5 the maximum this item can go for. Considering the B/O of 2 buds on one of these trades, its only fitting that the low value be 2, seeing as the offers on the other trades exceed it.
Anyone with counterproof please come forward, or show a counter suggestion! :) All is fair in making sure these are about right.
I believe you require actual sales. I may be wrong though.
Like knave said, It's good to have proof of sales ^_^
When sellers are setting BOs lower than current range, that is at least proof that ze current price is too high.
While that may be true, sales are much stronger proof for a price change than offers and B/Os.
Aye, sure. Sales are always the strongest proof...it's just if the buyers aren't even -asking- for the current range, then it's definitely priced too high. Of course, without sales, you don't know exactly where it should be...just that it should be lower :3
