edit: oh god that's convoluted... ok so here we go, in the notes he says that 1.7buds or 33keys is the conversion he's running on for a price of something. this means he's running at the 19.5keys= 1 buds (aprox.). in refined metal, the 10keys +buds (see screenshot) = 204.75ref (we'll just round up to 204ref, 7scrap). the hat+ the metal (taking the hat at the 1.5buds value) is equivalent 208.41ref (we'll round up and say 208ref, 4 scrap). the final equivalent buds difference between the stuff traded is .0317 (aprox.). note that the difference is this close only if we assume the hat is 1.5 buds, and that buds are 19.5keys :u if at the current high end for the hat (1.4buds), again taking buds as 19.5keys, we have ruktfist trading away 194.75refined (1.427 buds equivalent) for a 206.5 ref (1.513 buds equivalent)
