      Back when this was the first and only misc in the game, it was worth 3 buds for medals above the 2000 mark. E.G. 1999, 1998, 1997...


      Sorry about that. I have a question though, is this the price of all unique service medals? Are medals with numbers like 953 still more expensive than say 9742, or do we just all classify them as the same misc nowadays?

        They're still valued differently, this is just the base price.

          Alright then. I still feel that there should be a system where these medals have a higher value based on their number. For instance, Medal 1-1000 should have a suggested price of say 20 keys (Disclaimer: Don't take this part too seriously, it's an example and a hypothetical). Medal 9000-10,000 could be valued at 3 keys whereas the average price of the Medal from 3000-5000 could be say 6 keys. Just some food for thought, it's not a necessary and/or vital feature to backpack.tf's pricing ways.

            Dont forget themed numbers, Such as 1337. Of the VERY few times I've seen it up for trade, always has a buyout of like, 3-5 buds minimum.

              That's right, I forgot 1337 was a fad for a while back then. I was going to mention Medal 666 as one that needs a special value (for obvious reasons), or 777 due to lucky jackpots. Anyway, I don't want to create spam so I'll just leave my upvote on the doorstep here and be on my way. :>
