Reconfirming a 3 month old price, For those who say; "You need two solds" Well no I don't this is a first gen effect, I only need one sold.
Sold for an Australium Scattergun; (mine) http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17646038
There are so many others on market though...
You could find out what these sold for to create a better range.

How do you get a range with just one sold?
It's not a new range, it's a re-confirmation of an old range, seeing as it's a first gen effect it needs only 1 sale.
If there's only one sale, it should be a solid value.
Effect generation has nothing to do with whether you need two sales or not--you need two sales if the hat is unpriced, regardless of its effect.
Your item sale is subject to overpay. An Aus scatter would be worth ~2.5, and probably less--the price was last updated 2 months ago and there are many buyouts of 2.5 on outpost

Definitely not 2.8-3, at any rate.
As others have pointed out, a single sale usually doesn't warrant a range. Given the fact that there are 4 other sales you neglected to research, this doesn't seem like enough evidence.
