This makes me look like an idiot

Oh god, my points

4-month price ain't accurate anymore

This hat doesn't have that high demands

Real pain in ass to sell, even at lower price

Unsolds at 2 keys (Some sales have painted ones)

Solds/Sellings at lower than 2 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18068474 (1 key + 5 ref = 1.7 keys)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18160267 (1 key + 5 ref = 1.7 keys)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18207830 (1 key + 4 ref = 1.57 = 1.6 keys)

Conclusion: While there are many 2-key sellers but most of successful trades are 1.7 (even 1.7 keys ain't quick-sell price, too). In the last 3 days, there are only 2 successful trades at lower price and there is one add in 1 of my 2-key sales so I think it's a good time for a range like this.

Feel free to counter / support my proofs.

My points...

    both links at 1.7 sold

got any more to support 1.7?

Well, that's all for now but I will search for more

But to me, this is pretty enough because even people who is selling it at 1.7 had some problems. Both of 1.7 trades lasted pretty long (mine is 1 weak and another one took 4 days to sell it)

If it does take that long to sell this hat at 1.7, why don't we include 1.7 in the range?

Yet the 1.6 sale hasn't sold it, too. I should include 1.6 in the range but only 1 sale is not enough :P

          http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18215008 sold after 9 days

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18233561 painted and sold at 2 keys, yet took 4 days

          http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18235714 sold after 4 days

          *facepalm*

I don't say 2-key sales aren't impossible any more but I just want to prove that it's even hard to sell these thing at lower price, that means it needs a range. I don't see a reason why 1.7 - 2 keys is not a perfect range for it.

Check classified list, there is a 1.7 seller. He has been there for 3 days, which proves that 1.7 ain't quick-sell anymore

So you are telling me... that on 116 trades on outpost.. these 3 sellers that have already sold their hats should make the price go down. Sorry, still gotta downvote

On 116 trades on Outpost, there are 4 sellers who got problems selling this hat at lower price and rarely some one else sold this for 2 keys

I will not change my mind

If it's hard to sell this hat at 1.7 keys, why don't we include it in the range?

Price in backpack.tf is based on the successful trades, not on majority people who is selling at one price

No, price on backpack.tf is based on commonly traded prices. Successful trades only support the new price.

                  You stated that

"No, price on backpack.tf is based on commonly traded prices. Successful trades only support the new price."

Yep, rarely any one sold this hat for 2 keys so that price is outdated

While 1.7 is not common to see around here, more than half of successful trades is happened at this price, make it common. That's why 1.7 - 2 keys is a lovely range for this hat.

For some reason i cant comment on your comment.

If you find proof that more than half SELLS at 1.7 then you will have a solid suggestion

I can't comment on your comment, too

But well, because of this hat's rarity, that's all I can find since I made this suggestion. The rest I found is painted hats (which is not allowed to use as proof) and dup sellers. There are not many un-painted hats around Outpost. Personally, I think those unsold painted-hats at 2 keys can somewhat make-up for my range.

Vast majority on outpost are painted, selling in sets, or have special numbers. Here is every single valid trade:

There are a few more poorly bumped ones and ones without listed prices. While it seem that 2 keys is tough, I'm not seeing a single trade up for less than 2 keys on trade.tf in the last week....

But well, my point is that if it's hard to sell this hat for 1.7 keys, 1.7 keys should be included in the range. Since the suggestion was made, there are only 4 successful traded at lower price and the sellers took a lot of time to sell it (3 in the proof and one in the classified list, but it's gone now) and rarely there are any 2 key sales which succeeded.

This makes me think that 1.7 should be included in the range.

Why is this still up then? =P

Looked through trade.tf and found only one offer below 2 key price. It's nicely bumped, pretty young, but still unsold.

              http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18374059

Lots of odd-levelled, full-vintage-sets and all that stuff. The rest offers ask for 2 keys. However, pretty unsuccessful. No adds, no solds within last week (except painted and SCM).

Perhaps, I would upvote cos it seems almost impossible to sell with 2 keys flat. What is more, trade.tf gives average trading price of 1.5 keys.

Sigh. Still don't feel to comfortable with the low end since there are very few sellers at 1 key + 5 ref or 1 key + 6 ref. But the reality is that even fewer are selling at 2 keys.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18213482 - lowered his price to sell

The only way to really sell these seems to be lowering the price to under 2 keys. Going with the community vote.
