Here is a link to an article its discussing the touchy subject of overpay calculation look here before posting "You did it wrong bro" -
http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/1803-standardized-unusual-overpay-method/
If there is a standard overpay method that everyone uses let me know where I can find it.
I calculated overpay by taking High end of the unusual price of the price when it was sold - X and multiplied it by 0.80 to get the value. Low end is mutiplied by 100%, average is multiplied by 90% and high end is multiplied by 80%. Thats how Ive been calculating overpay. X * 0.80 = Value of unusual offer towards Unusual being sold. This is roughly based off of how moderators like Woifi, Cleverpun and Shenanigans
Leave some advice or constructive criticism below I need some.
Thanks a ton.
Like I said on your last thread, you have to take average original values, then applying an overpay of 0.9.
The right rules concerning overpay are there http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/4350-new-rule-use-original-suggested-values-of-unusuals/
As I said in your precedent thread, the Pot is outdated so no need to take this proof.
For 2nd "proof", original value is 3.5 buds so with overpay it makes 3.15 buds
Downvote again,
"Closed last suggestion because incorrect price was entered" but not taking corrections on what it has been said, just for manipulating prices
Edit : if you keep taking outdated Unus as proof, you should take a look at this sale : http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17670509
http://backpack.tf/id/76561198075685848?time=1391500800 -> http://backpack.tf/id/76561198075685848?time=1391587200
Sold for a Scorching Nano (outdated) -> 2.8*0.9 = 2.5 buds
Still want to keep outdated Unus as proof? :D
Just for maniupluating prices? I just want an updated price... Bold accusation but thank you for the article Ive been looking for something that lets me know how to calculate overpay
http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-new-unusual-price-suggestion-guide-the-cheat-sheet/
Overpay should be 90% of the mid price of a hat. It usually ends up being very close to the low end of a price range though. Also, you need to show prices of the outdated hats are still correct. For example:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18512854
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18264226
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18185692
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17397122
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18527336
All of those have BO of 4
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18095892 - BO of 3.5, unsold for 3 weeks.
This means the current price on the pot is too high, if it can't even sell for 3.5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17597479 - this hat offered on collector's slope scopers
The BO on those scopers was 3.5 buds. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17477780 - previous BO was 3.1 buds.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18481236 - the person you sold to. has a BO of 3.8 pure
Suggested price should never be over BO prices. Thus, your suggested price is way too high.
