Bro, this is the final time I'm making this suggestion. I *promise*
You guys make it so hard to contribute to the community I swear
Solds:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17418977 - Sold one month and some change ago (Sold for 2.4 Mixed)*
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17422995 (I purchased for 2.6 pure)
Almost sold(?)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18102351 (I have someone gathering 2.6 pure)
Unsolds:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16899773 2 months (no listed B/O) (two offers)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17562479 1 month (no listed B/O) (no offers)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17473312 1 month (3 pure) (one offer?)
*Sold one month ago to Atrix for a Smoking Waxy Wayfinder + B.M.O.C.
Wayfinder was 1.5 - 1.7 at the time http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5221f19d4f96f4c47e8b4568
B.M.O.C. was ~12 keys at the time http://backpack.tf/stats/Unique/B.M.O.C./Tradable/Craftable
Buds were still 19-20 keys. That's looking to be about 2.2 - 2.4. For simplicity's sake, I'm going to take the higher end of that range.
Yes, I own one. I think it's important for all items to be priced correctly. If you don't care about your items, then I believe you're doing the TF2 community a great disservice.
You can't use a price that's 6 months out of date to make a price that is supposed to reflect the current market value. Complain about it being hard all you want, if you want your hat to be priced so much go do a good thing for the community and price the smoking waxy.
Be nice :) You're acting as if someone made you make this suggestion. No one did.
:^)
you seem to misunderstand. you base current price on current prices for unusuals because they are assumed to be more accurate than older prices. there is a reason the smoking waxy was dropped to 1.1. So after overpay that sale is going to be less than 2.4, and "assuming" the high end "for simplicity" has nothing to do with simplicity and everything to do with you wanting a higher price.
Dude, I don't care about how high of a price it has. It could be 16 buds, it doesn't matter to me. I have someone collecting 2.6 buds right now as I type this. Whatever arbitrary price some website tells people this is, I have a guaranteed sale at 2.6 whenever the guy finishes collecting.
I'd like to help out with pricing but you can't seem to get your head as far out of your ass as it is to see that
how many collecting offers have you dealt with before? :P guaranteed is an interestingly bold term to use for one.
I'm not stopping you helping me out with pricing. I'm saying you should do it right though, since you're so community minded. it's also pretty telling that you're hyping up a collecting offer for the same amount you paid for it, lol.

"I think it's important for all items to be priced correctly. If you don't care about your items, then I believe you're doing the TF2 community a great disservice."
"Dude, I don't care about how high of a price it has": you clearly should, if you think it should be priced correctly. And if you don't care, why were you trying to take the high estimate (though there wouldn't be a range to estimate if you did overpay properly)
:^)
offers=/=solds :| (as coolrock has kinda implied already, he might not go through with the deal (happens to me plenty of times))
What coolrocks said, you cannot use old sales
Bmocs were not 13.

Could be at most counted as 12 since the sale happened a day before this suggestion.
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/52e3372a4dd7b80e4e8b4568 Waxy Wayfinder smoking low end is 1 flat, you use up-to-date prices for unusuals, not outdated.
Sale total would be just 1.6~ with those two items so unless you prove where the other .8 buds comes from, the low end is highly inaccurate.
The only reason I'm going off of old prices is because the sale happened a month and some change ago. You told me to do research, and I did. I don't know why you keep patronizing my suggestions for trying to establish the value of a hat that's been out for a bit over half a year and *still* doesn't have a price.
theres hats that have been out longer than that without a price.
