Noble thoughts right there. But sadly, that's just not the way it goes here on Backpack.tf. To lower a price of an item you need to provide links showing unsolds at the current value of the item along with links showing people selling it at the price you're proposing. Basically not a single price suggestion would have a chance to pass if not at least a handful of links are being provided within it.
