There's two I can see on outpost right now; the seller you have at 4 and this guy at 5.4 http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18611832
yea the 5.4 guy is just overpricing it and hence he has no offers
Ehhh, any sales? This is basically just removing the high end since OV is 4.1-4.8
I don't think this hat sells lol
Well as Ive said before, I dunno if mods would accept B/O only suggestions this minor without some sales to back it up so I'll just have to stay neutral.
I know Polar has said something about it before.
Actually all the suggestions I have made (and passed) were all b/o based lol
I saw mods accepting b/o's suggestion before and very recently, check the recent accepted suggestions. If people only wait for sales even when lowering, then we just have to forget pricing unusuals because there are some unusuals that are extremely hard to sell.
Those were fine since they were a fair chunk below original values and all, this is just removing high end basically.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18490777 - sold for misty skull jeepcap but outdated.
The only reason his suggestions are getting accepted is because the mods found sales within his proposed range.
Jeep would most likely be below 4 seeing how the only one on the market has a B/O of 4 and its outdated value is 3.7-3.9 without overpay.
Also for clarification, found a previous suggestion with a quote from Kaushu himself.

"also @mapleman, please note that we are only accepting suggestions based off only b/o's if its a major drop, or if no other sales have happened in 3 months. otherwise try and get a sale to prove your range."
So, some sales would be nice for a minor drop such as this if possible, just saying.
Kaushu is wrong then, sadly. Check post above. this has not been updated for 10 months, I am glad that someone is actually constantly suggesting prices of unusuals unlike you and me and tons of others.
For clarification, mods don't have a problem lowering based on b/os if the change is a significant / much needed one. But in situations where the change is small, we prefer to avoid using b/os as the only source of proof. Why? For the same reason we don't allow offers alone to raise the price - doing so raises the risk of leading the market. Just as we have previously seen successive raises on a hat every time a new offer came driving the value up, we have also seen successive drops on a hat in a short period of time based on sellers constantly lowering the b/o, thereby driving the price down. See the Miami Nights Wraith as an example.
Not really, you can lower prices with b/os regardless of sales. Check the forums, I think polarbear posted something about it.
You are correct, check my post below.
B/O's are acceptable as mentioned here by Polar bear.

"Buyouts (B/Os)
B/Os are only valid proof in two situations – as a guide to determine outliers at the high end and for lowering hat values on hats with already established values."

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18490777 - appears to have sold for misty jeepcap (3.7-3.9, old price): http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,2442688129,417,5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18454441 - appears to have sold for aus knife (1.5-1.6) + aus black box (1.5-1.8 at the time)
You really need to look for sales...
