Hype mode Activated - 4 month old price

Due to one of the recent updates (as I'm sure most of which are aware of by now) the Soldier's Stash is now essentially a miscellaneous cosmetic. Let the record show that yes, I have one myself, and no, I don't plan on selling it anytime soon.

Currently, one trade is open on outpost for an orbiting planets stash, other than the one that I have just recently opened on my own accord for pricing reasons. Here is the link

This trade has generated a lot of attention for both items present in it, and has seen offers that have been quickly ignored that were at or below 2 buds in pure or otherwise. Several offers have been made on the planets stash for greater than 2 buds worth.

- 1 bud + Peace Sign Mountain Cap - denied

- Flaming lantern Helmet without a Home - denied

- Australium Minigun (roughly 2+ buds?)

- Bubbling Blighted Beak - denied

- Green Confetti Hottie's Hoodie - Denied

- Peace sign Bot Doge + 1 bud - Denied

- 2.5 In pure - Denied (note, this trader sent me a private add ( after he was denied on this trade) Offering me 3 bud in pure 2 bud + 20 keys. I did not have any sort of trade listed at the time.) ( let me know if there's a way I can provide proof) Would a link of my page work?

- Cloud 9 Kabuto - No response yet.

This is my first time attempting an unusual suggestion. Hoping that it does not disappoint. Any feedback is very welcome.

NOTE- I retain my statement as to not looking to just boost my bp value, however, I have opened up an outpost ad to receive some offers to further proof if possible.

how about you provide sales? You can determine outliers at low- or high end with C/Os and B/Os, but not for raising a price..and where you get that range from?

The range I selected was from the vast range of offers, in addition with the previous price's mean bp.tf value to get the wider range of price that you see. It's simply showing that while it may be possible to get these for the previous price, odds are, most will go for above the previous range due to a large amount of denials of anything below itself.

I understand where you're coming from with the downvote. However, I retain my confidence that just as Mossy has proven below, that while sales do help the pricing of items, they are not completely necessary.

so what exactly do you want to tell me with that? this guy did it so it is ok? sry but i cant agree.. if that would be the case people could just raise their hats value by making firends "offer" on their trades what they would then turn down

backpacks pricing is about the ammount that people were willing to pay, not what people say they would be willing to pay

i doubt that all of those people were friends who faked offers (they'd be banned from outpost soon enough if it was so)

also, we can assume that they are willing to pay that if they offered, there's no reason to assume they aren't

also i knew that, but you used it to "disprove" my actual evidence, so i treated it as actual evidence

i never said that they faked offers, i said that backpack.tf is based on actual sales because, if it wouldnt people could (!) do that.

and your "evidence" has nothing to do with this trade.. just because a guy did something doesnt mean that it was right, or has anything to do with this threat.. this is backpack.tf not the us-legal system!

the us-legal system has a thing wher they create laws based on cases that happend in the past, thats what i was refering too, thats also what i ment with the first part of my comment: backpack.tf has rules, those rules say that you have to base your price suggestions on min 2 sales. just because 1 guy did not follow those rules and got "away" with it doesnt mean that it is right/allowed

At the same time however, its like were dealing with a completely new hat in terms of value. The price is most definitely going to be higher than any previous suggestion across the board in any effect for this new misc/hat. The earlier prices were for a "different" hat so to speak.

While we used to accept those kinds of suggestions, we found that it tended to lead to consecutive suggestions leading the market. Every time a new offer was a made a new suggestion would be made. To avoid this, we no longer accept suggestions based on offers alone. Downvoting due to lack of sales. If you sell it for this amount, then you'd have a reason to update it.

The Link you provide said he's looking for 4.5 when he declined the 2.5 Pure offer. Clearly he's not getting anywhere near this and has no desire to sell otherwise. I don't believe offers are valid in that case.

Already having 2 offers on a trade made for said hat 2 hours ago.

These offers were both on the other link you showed us, by the same users.

I noticed that as well, however, it just shows that theyre also willing to buy any stash for the prices that they posted on the individual unusuals. Note that I also did not even list a buyout offer and he still offered over list price on the hat.

Another comment on the trade, offering 3 buds pure. Also sent an active trade offer with the funding to back it up.
