Looks good upvote
With at least one on Outpost ( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18891741 ) selling for 3.5, I think you might need a few more sales to prove the higher range.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18244656 - sold for 4 buds, will search for more later but the proof seems sufficient, plus this hat is unpriced and just needs 2 solds to price (the average price of all 3 solds is 4.26 buds and this third sale is just under that) not disagreeing just my view
Yeah, this is the problem we run when we make conservative suggestions. When the same hat gets used on another suggestion, it is way too inflated. http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5330dba64cd7b8fb228b4569 - all based on b/os
One DP brainiac recently sold for an aces brainiac which would be closer to 4.5
Given the b/o at 3.5 and another at 5, the sale at 5.2 looks like an outlier.
it doesnt matter what the price of that unusual has become, just what it was at that point. at that point it was what is written, so it remain the same
Agree with above (ecobro3 and I are in the same classes) my computer died last night so couldn't do anything to search for more but now i'm looking again
That's simply not how suggestions can work. The price on the dead prez brainiac was set 7 months ago at 6.6-7.3. A conservative drop 2 weeks ago based entirely on b/os put it at 5.5-6 - still too high. Recent sales have been at ~4.5.
We try to capture the value of an unusual at the time of the trade. Without a doubt, the value of it is closest to 4.5 and that's about where it should be valued here. This is confirmed by your other sales at ~3.5-4 and b/o at 3.5. 5, quite simply, seems like the outlier.
so your suggesting I should...... (sorry I'm new to trade suggestions)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18780258
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18761276 - sold for a 2.7 unusual * 0.9 = 2.4
I staring to think a lower price is appropriate
2.4, 3.6, 4 and 5.2 are the solds so maybe 2.4 - 4 as a new range and say that 5.2 is an outlier?
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18189744
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18147768 - sold for a 8.9 unusual * 0.9 = 8 buds
Definitly an outlier, unless more above the 5.2 mark crop up
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17841288 - sold 7.3 bud unusual * 0.9 = 6.6 buds
This is going to be a very interesting price, they've been sold for 2.4, 3.6, 4, 5.2, 6.6 and 8 buds on separate occasions.
We can either find a couple-of-bud range in the middle of those values or have a slightly bigger range. I think middle range but what do you think polar bear?
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19098373 - B/O 5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18891741 - B/O 3.5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18825384 - B/O 6
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18987215
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18993634 - sold for 2.5 bud unusual * 0.9 = 2.3
so much proof...
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16602701 - sold for 5 buds
2.3, 2.4, 3.5, 3.6, 4, 5, 5, 5.2, 6, 6.6 and 8 are the B/Os and solds. I think the 3.6-5.2 range is still the best as both of them have 3 values outside of them, outliers, and there are 5 inside of the range. Unless I'm wrong or someone else has something else to say I believe this proof and reasoning is correct and that 3.6-5.2 should still be the price, maybe 3.5-5.2 just because it's so close to 3.6 but meh.
Well, it's the b/o at 3.5 that bothers me. Up for 11 days with no taker at 3.5 buds. And that's below your suggested range. In the context of that b/o, 5 just seems too high. Keep in mind that values on new effect hats change within a month. So a month old sale at 5 may (and in this case probably is) too old to capture its current value. I think Perhaps 3.5-4.5 or 3.5-4 would be better
I see what you mean, but if we went down to that range wouldn't that make the 2.3 and 2.4 ones not outliers or are they quicksells still?
Why isnt this going through? its been on for a week
Come on admin, just waiting...
