If there are that many sales at 7.66, why not go above 7.55?

I added a guy for a 7.44 key, was competing with 6 other people :P

so hard to buy for 7.44 now :u (or maybe I'm just unlucky) bought 4keys for 30ref from a guy selling them for 7.55 each (1key <-> 7.49ref each is the final calculation)

Now I mostly see people sell for 7.66 and above

oh boy here we go again. I just hope this isn't a mess like the last suggestion.

In my experience I tried buying keys for 7.55 and only successfully got a handful keys in around a week. Even desperately tried buying them on trade server and no luck what so ever.

Imo shouldnt be conservative at all here, keys are lagging behind quite a bit as it is, 7.55 is pretty rare and many sales at 7.66ref

Looks like it is time for a bump, and this range fits that, though 7.66 may not be far off...

Is there a particular reason for providing sales below 7.44?

I searched on outpost, and after a few refreshes (which for keys always provides a new page of results) there was always multiple, in-stock sellers for 7.66 on every search. Anything lower was consistently sold out.

Just from personal experience, I can say that 7.66 is a bit of an instant-buy price--there are always people available at that price point if you want to buy. On the other hand, anything lower is a quicksell--there is an abundance of sales at 7.44-7.55 but they sell out instantly and there is a lot of buyer competition.

Following that logic, 7.55-7.66 would be the ideal price range (quicksales at one end and instantbuys at the other), but it is clear that in terms of volume (from this suggestion more than the other one) that the .44s and .55s eclipse the .66s.

The most accurate price for keys has always been a wonky one because of this disparity between volume and sell speed. I will say that SUN's suggestion has less convincing proof atm. As with all key suggestions, the mods will leave them up for a bit to allow more community feedback, but the proof is as important as market trends when it comes to currencies--it is better to have a slightly incorrect price that is verifiable than an accurate one pulled out of nowhere.

I encourage both the suggester and the community to provide additional evidence instead of arguing.

Prices not know much about. But I saw that usually sold for 7:33 in trading servers.

Am I the only one confused as to why we need proof for sales under 7.44? Below backpack price is always going to sell so why even provide it? it's not like quicksells ever influence price I haven't seen this price go down in months (Sorry if I broke any guidelines, just curious as to how it is relevant.)

Man,it's quite easy to get keys for 7.33-7.44 and I even got a key for 7ref so...

After looking through the number of links, I'd say .66 should be within the range, until more links are provided for that and .55 so that it should be 7.55-7.66.

Most people are selling keys for 7.66 by now, some outliers here and there and their keys get taken in a matter of seconds but nothing substantial. If these suggestions of 7.44-7.55 get accepted and it probably will be accepted, it won't be much until the price is going to have to be adjusted again.

I think the main concern here is not whether the key:ref ratio is in need of updating but rather whether 7.55 is better than 7.44-7.55. Honestly, the proof is compelling on the other suggestion, but I think it's a close enough call here that it's best to go with the community vote on this one.
