needs to drop and stay that way, if its hits 8 ref, the economy is done for, because you can buy it for the same price on the mann.co store.
It's really important to make low price a little. Guys with expensive backpacks makes votes and other guys which have expensive items accept that. It's just terrible.

Actually he has a point. Your a dumb shit trying to make a profit. And we want the keys to stay steady I mean people will buy like 40 keys at a time to make like 200 ref, that is when the economy will shit itself.

dude its not keys going up in price its ref going down because as time goes people can just keep making metal and not many people are getting rid of it it is becoming worth less there for the amount needed to equal the $2.50 that keys will always be is going up so there isnt much you can do to stop this except start deleting or crafting with ref so their worth goes up

Upvote just because of how much I miss the old times. The people were awesome, trading was awesome, everything was awesome. I realised TF2 was going downhill once they introduced the new steam trading. Old TF2 trading was the most amazing thing ever.

Plus, if refined drops, it requires more refined to reach $2.49, and refined has been dropping. This problem is solving itself.

Simple yet another reason why key's price seemed to go up as some people suggested. Is because it is used as a currency and yet it is an item to uncrate crates.
There would be two types of situations.
Example 1: The person is selling the key for x amount, which the the current equilibrium of demand and supply. But these keys are often taken by merchantman, who would resell it for higher price in order to make a profit, which is the worst type of items that should be merchanted due to the reason it's currency itself.
Example 2: The person(1) selling keys sells it to a person(2), who wants to use the key or simply use it to get the items that is said valued as a key. Even tho the person (3) who have a good Y demanded by the person for (7.44refine). Let's say as the example here. The one who is selling the product Y(person 3) for the one who is now buying the key (person) could trade the item for 7.44refine or still demand the key. Whereby the person needs to get a key and can't because the lower or current valued keys are often taken by merchantman. Who use this as a profit maker.
It is understandable why they use keys instead of any other item for the reason it is highly demanded and used as currency.
These are theory based on current merchant key market, which seem to be true atm.
