The metal can still be obtained, just go to at any Halloween server and kill HHH. I got mine last week (although the owner of the server spawned a lot of HHHs and I was invincible :P)

Blue I've tryed that I've killed about 15-20 and can't get the gored achievement but I got the pumkin head

Many of the sellers don't actually say the price.

I sold one for a ref, 2 stranges worth 0.66 and 0.33 and 2 vintages worth 0.22 each. So I got 2.44 ref AND the wrap for it :D

2nd link is a private backpack seller which I think is against Outpost's rules isn't it?

3rd isn't sold

4th is not a seller, he states it's just a placeholder

5th is a backpack seller - It's not in his inventory, but it doesn't look like he actually accepted anyone's offers for it either...

6th looks like it actually sold - proof for 0.33

1st buyer got the Gored achievement literally a few days after his trade was opened, he had no messages on the trade so I think it's fair to say he didn't buy one

2nd buyer's trade was closed for inactivity, and by the looks of it never actually bought one either

You haven't proven that 1 ref is in there very well.

It's by offers, first sentence, not by solds for the first few links. Looking at the market, it's not that inaccurate.

You can raise a price with offers too.

I stated that the 6th link quicksold, since it sold in under half an hour. 0.33 ref looks like a quicksell.

Considering that it's the only one here, it's also possible that he was just lucky with his timing too.

Collectors probably want this so they can craft the skulls or the unusual axe. Upvote from me.

One of the few achievement items that should be worth something.

Collectors will generally look for these to craft the HHHH (henceforth referred to as Headtaker) or the Spine-Twisting Skull (or whichever one it is. So many.). Why? Headtaker is valued at three keys (at least for the tradable one. If it were to be suggested, the untradable one probably would be valued at 5 ref after gift wrap), making it a fairly good way to make profit, perhaps not much but hey, it's a start. That's option one. Option two is because it looks cool and halloween eyelander reskin is best eyelander reskin. Option two-point-five is people who are doing a Headless Horsemann set. As for the Skull, it looks neat... but if you want to make profit, ehh stick with the Headtaker.

Upvote from me because three reasons: There's only one page of Haunted Scrap trades on Outpost, so this guy has the majority of the trades right here. Two: It may not be the most solid proof, but it's the best you can find on a trade site because people don't realize that you can actually use gift wrap on such an item. And lastly, ~~has new brown belt~~ this achievement item can only come around for 10 days every year- granted you don't go on a server that spawns a Horsemann every hour (Nice job, PPM).

I agree with everything you say, except for the last part. I got the achievement on my both accounts not during Halloween. It wasn't on a trade server, it was just the original map with the HHH (cp_manor_event) and I think there was some requirement for the number of real players on the server. I killed the HHH with a melee and I got the haunted scrap.

And that's where you're wrong, because you can get the achievement any time of the year if you just play on the original map. And the Halloween event (the 10 days you're talking about) doesn't give you better chances to get it.

The "server that spawns a Horsemann" does not follow the rules of TF2 holiday. The only reason I mention the ten day Halloween event is because that is the only time stock Valve servers are Halloween maps. There are those that don't know of the server browser.

Why are you even arguing about this. This is a suggestion post, not a debate about servers and Halloween. I suggest dropping this before cleverpun has to come in.

most of the links for the sellers are users who jokely adding the haunted scrap into their post and some links are from very old posts. i only see one post that seems to sold one for .33 ref. i can honestly see the price of this item going up, but there's not good/enough proof of sales of it. I'm going to downvote.

I've said to quite a few people on this suggestion and it's also the first sentence. Going by offers.

i know i saw you said that in your description, though i thought i was worth mentioning it's really offers on old posts and where users aren't even selling haunted scrap.

Not sure if this helps, but [http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17937934]. This guy has been trying to buy it for 0.66 ref for 2 months now. It was last bumped 3 weeks ago so now it's closed due to inactivity, but he relisted the metal scrap saying he really wants it, first at 0.44 then at 0.66.

Seems like he didn't take into account the wrap needed.

I would say no, for the reason.

Halloween is coming in a little, and haunted metal will probably come again, unless next halloween they do not give haunted metal.

Then I think would be the right time to put up the price.
