Miss me? I was working on my dream sets, so I haven't been on in a while.
9 Month Old Price. Original Values and Unusual Overpay have been calculated.
Proof:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19582125 - B/O - 4
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19552443 - B/O - 4
- Highest Offer is a Scorching Dixie (~2.2) + 1.4 = ~3.6
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19594880 - B/O - 4.5 (Outlier)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18190848 -> http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18215311
Sold for a Disco Desert (~3.4)
Other sales were over 4 months old or undetermined.
I'll set low range based on the only recent sale I could dig up and the high range based on multiple B/Os (B/Os are OK in this case since I'm LOWERING the range)
you can;t lower the prices only by B/O's anymore.
Obviously you need to reread the rules of this site.
Top range comes from B/O's? Incorrect.
It's a better range..
Dropping based on B/O's. 3.4 flat
And he hasn't. He's lowered it.
This hat does not need a flat range. I have one sale and two b/os to support my range. B/Os are fine since I'm lowering the price. If I was raising the price, I'd agree with you.
I have two B/Os to support it. This hat is not sold very often. If you can counter prove me by finding a higher sale than 4, then sure. It's "incorrect".
Your suggestion, why would I go and find one?
Because you told him it's incorrect. If you don't want to counterprove, the don't say so.
Thank you Hugh. Also long time no see. :)

New rules are placed as of May 3rd. B/O can be only used in a drop when its under a sale, not over. A flat 3.4 will be fine
"Exceptions: There are rarely situations where we feel B/Os can be used as the only proof in a suggestion. We will accept such suggestions ONLY if there are literally no usable sales in the last 2 months. In these situations, the suggester must show proof of recent sales and why they are not usable (quicksell, sold for more unpriced hats, etc.). In these cases, there is frequently a large buyer-seller gap and dropping the value based on B/Os might actually result in a few sales that could then be used to refine the value."
There has only been one valid sale in the last 3 months, so it is safe to use B/Os to support a range. I think this could use a range due to its last price suggestion having a range and 2 sellers with the same exact B/O.

Anyways we seem to be in conflict, I prefer to wait to see what the mods think. If they side with you, I will resuggest.
To be clear, the rules state that hats cannot be based on b/os alone. There must be at least 1 sale. He has provided one sale here. The rule was designed to prevent suggestions on new hats based entirely on b/os. This is an older effect that is rarely traded. There are only 2 recent sales, one of which involved a trader banned on outpost.
Perhaps 3.4 flat based on the sale would have been better? But I'm fine with the conservative approach here.
EDIT: here is the other sale based on a hat with a very old price - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18172426. That sale is probably closer to 4.
