not much proof though. I would say that is not enough for the pricing of an item.

This item is like collectors, hardly ever on the market and very rare, so I think this is enough for an item like this. As you have seen many collector's gets a bump up/down with only one/two sellers. This is exactly like that. Very rare indeed.

Everyone got the Non-Tradeable versions through event drops, so not many people considered buying them through the store. The Haunted Versions were also mass unboxed providing a surplus of the item at a cost that was cheaper than buying one from the Mann Co. Store to begin with.

He has the Non-Tradeable version. Very Different and more than likely worth less than the suggested price.

Can I ask, what makes it rare? I mean, Meet the Stats shows 88.4% are Unique (over 22,000) of them. http://stats.teamfortress.org/item/30275/The_Horned_Honcho, or am I missing something?

Meet the Stats has the data, it is just buried by misleading numbers. The number can be found in the bottom middle graph under "Purchased" if you expand to see the raw data. The number there is fairly accurate give or a take a few.
