Seems like a bit too wide range for the value of the hat, maybe call the 3.2 an outlier since you have multiple sales between 4-5?

      agreed

Wouldn't the range be 3.2-5.1 then?

        You prefer ugly ranges?

I prefer accurate ranges. Who gives a damn if its not rounded.

Bp.tf prices are guidelines, not law.

            "all unusual suggestions are approximations."

So? An exact range is still better than a rounded one.

I'd prefer a rounded range that's easier to understand, as long as the range is still pretty close. It's all up to personal preference.

Mods tell you to round when possible

The difference here is between accuracy and precision. We shouldn't give items a range that is more precise than it really is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Significant_figures

The value on this is unlikely exactly 3.2-5.1. The range is already wide, indicating a level of uncertainty. The range is 3-5 +/- 0.5 buds. Adding the decimal place is both redundant and gives a false sense of precision. The overall accuracy is almost exactly the same as the mean has only changed by 0.05 buds.

It's like saying a secret coffin is 100.3 buds. It is obviously not exactly that. It is ~100 +/- 10 buds in value. We try to emphasize that our prices are approximations and not exact values. That is why we ask people to round appropriately.

Eh, 3 might be too old with the 3 other sales between 4 and 5. 4-5 might be better imo

I'd call it 4-5.1 buds. Not enough sales less than 4 to justify that 3.2 sale not being an outlier.

However, 3.2 and 5.1 sales are the most recent ones.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean they can't be outliers, lol
