Year old price. This thing was my first unusual ( well technically a Bubbling Crown was my first but that was bought as a birthday present for a friend) and even though I own another unusual Hermes I just can't see myself parting ways with this one.
Sold for Dead Presidents Honcho's Headgear (~1.9)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19832584 (Honcho)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19845913 (Hermes, another sale can be seen here but that involves an unpriced hat and is probaly an outlier since the Miami HoC is ~2.9)
Sold for Terror-Watt Bonk Helm (~1.8)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,2607072240,106,5 (Bonk)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19845913 (Hermes went from wat to Jons in this trade and then from Jons to Hellus in the above trade)
Sold for 1 bud + 10 TF2 keys + 1 key in metal + 7 Dota 2 keys (~2 buds, treating Dota 2 and TF2 keys as equal)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19366237
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19547007 (Confirms the offer)
Current sellers with B/Os:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19813671 - 2 buds, 3 days
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/2216611 - 5.5 buds, over a year
Dota 2 keys cannot be taken as the same value as TF2 keys anymore. Ever since the update, Dota 2 keys have dropped to about 1.1 Euros while TF2 keys remain at 1.8 Euros... therefore the sale is not worth 2 buds.
When was this update? Is it just a sale like when Tour of Duty Tickets dropped in price when Two Cities came out? What is your assessment of the trades value if TF2 key != Dota 2 key?
I don't know because I don't do dota 2 trading... but look at these trades below
TF2 Key to Dota 2 Key ratio
http://goo.gl/Hy5w2E 1:2
http://goo.gl/NvQpQh 2:3
http://goo.gl/QJPqpX 2:3
http://goo.gl/fIchnG 2:3
http://goo.gl/rcAH21 1:2
http://goo.gl/LiHyyp 1:2
http://goo.gl/5HyekP 1:2, LOTS of adds
http://goo.gl/I7p44V Dota 2 Keys 5 Refined
http://goo.gl/hBlJ9R 2:3
I'm not saying all of them get adds but this seems to be the general trend for TF2 keys to D2 keys... and this many were found on just the first page. No one is doing a 1:1 trade apparently
When I looked the other way around all I could find were 1:1 trades with the odd one with a slightly off ratio of like 10:9 or something like that.
Well that's obviously going to be true. All people with Dota 2 keys are going to want to swap theirs 1:1 for a higher price one.
I just thought to look at the selling history on the Community Market and before May 9th the two key prices were roughly similar but after that they plummeted. The unusual sale happened on May 2nd so at the time of the sale at least the two key prices were maybe a refined apart if that's anything to go by.
To add to that, May 9th is when this started so I'm inclined to say it's an event based sale but don't know for sure since I've never even launched Dota 2.

I'm not sure about that, maybe consult a moderator for guidance
Looks like they were able to turn the Dota 2 keys into a TS Bills so 6-7 keys depending on whether or not you count the paint.

Check the history, it wasn't sold to him
It actually was sold to them, outpost just never scanned it in their backpack; the offer on this hat changed from 7 Dota 2 keys to a TS Bills and the trade went through.

Dota2 keys cannot be taken as equivalent to tf2 keys any more. But even in the absence of that sale, the range is close here. I would say that a general guideline would be take the ratio as it is on market. Currently about 3 tf2 keys : 4 dota 2 keys.
