the second one is proffesional and if you look at all the phlog collecters on outpost all the ones that are proffesional/strange are going for 2buds. and a regular one should not be priced that high also the first trade is a month old!
when pricing an unusual or collectors item, you ignore strangifiers.
Since when do you ignore strangifiers? A decent professional one can fetch an extra bud on the price...
Strangifier make items strange. You mean pro/spec kits. Those are not strangifier.
whoops, I was reading on from the original comment which was referred to the kits, but my statement still stands :)
95% of the strangifier cost 3-4 ref. That's pretty much nothing compared to the price of the items. It doesn't matter if it's strange or not unless the strangifier is rare/expensive.
As i said, the original comment was talking about pro kits which was what i was referring to but made an error in calling it a strangfier, pro kits definitely make a difference.
Sorry. Thought "but my statement still stands :)" was refering to the strangifiers.

I bet the reason why it's worth so much is because of the addition of a strangifier. Before then, it was a nightmare (or at least for me) to sell it for that much.
Thats exactly what happened. I started gathering phlogs about a week and a half before the update hit, then once the strangifiers were obtainable the kits jumped from about 20 dollars a kit to 80+ on the market place.
At the time there were still only two qualities for the phlog, collector's and unique. Unique is almost worthless so collector's was the only other option.
I really wanted to prove you wrong, but I checked the c. cleaners and pocket pistol, and people seem to be selling those for a bit as well. You might be onto something.
Not to mention the original Pomson, Strange Collector's are nice weapons.
nah all collectors will rise then because valve is planning to make strangifiers for every weapon.I think is they are starting to getting rare the collectors in generall you cant buy a chem from the market any longer and thats the main reason why the price is rising as for the second li8nk thats a professional phlog in stake so the 1st link is legit only.due the fact that is a very very limited item and quality makes it even more wanted. upvote for the first link the other is irelevant.

Not its by the fact that you can strangify it. if you observe all the 4 collectors that can be strangified its easy to sell em at around 10 keys each at least. the reason why people hate collectors is because they dont count your kills. but the moment they do you can have an exclusive strange variant of that weapon where there are less in existence then 1st gen strange festives
Just because one group of items go for a certain amount doesn't mean all items of that type do.

Um... how could you tell?
You could look at the item IDs of all the strange collector's phlogs and see when they changed, as application of things like nametags and strangifiers usually changes the item ID, so you could track the changes that way. You could also just look at all the current owner's backpack histories.
Hey look it's another Collector's ObjectorUpvoted; it's a rare item but it'll quickly drop in price once the 2 bud value is established
Doesn't have to do with it being rare, has to do with you can make them strange via the new crate unboxes. Normal collectors are worthless since they do nothing special, but now having a strange collectors is essentially like owning a low-mid tier unusual.
My anology is that it's like owning an unusual thats been made into a misc. Hype will die quickly.
