when you only say the effect of the hat it sold for, it looks a little silly

Any hat can be priced based on a single sale if ALL these criteria are met:

- There are no other recent sales in the last 3 months

- The effect is not a summer 2013 effect. (robo, 2013 halloween effects can be used as they are often rarely traded and rarely unboxed)

- The hat went to a collector or person who intends to keep the hat. A collector can be identified by looking at the person's trade history, item history of similar unusuals in the backpack OR if the owner has not resold the hat 1 month after the sale occurred.

Unfortunately this does not accomplish the third bullet point. Two hats are still on the market and have been up for less than 2 weeks.

the hat sold, is now being traded in the 2nd link of yours.. and thats why it is invalid?.. makes no damn sense to me. but if somebody can agree with you. i'll just close it :)

It is invalid because there have been more sales in the past therefore the hat cannot be priced by a single sale.

1st link has a good history, surely there have been proof of sales, you can even check backpack times.

I didn't say it was sold for the listed price, all I did was show you links to past valid solds. Its up to you to do the research to find what each link sold for.

okay, lil more reaserch shows that it got sold for a Searing plasma Magistrate mullet (sweets iunno, very hard to know when he traded multiple unusuals that day so bp history is not helping.)

Those rules are for setting a new price. Most unusuals can be priced with one sale if they already have an established price.
