ok, but why what made it a key because its for 3 classes?
Because of HYPE, everyone wants to get their hands on it because of its looks, or its stats has recently changed. e.g: The Pyromancer's Mask, before it became a misc, it was 1.66, now it's like 4 Ref+.
Because at the time, it looked extremely nice, especially in sets. But now with the surge of new cosmetic items, the Team Captain is now overshadowed.
