This was somewhat easy

Outdated by over a year (December 2012)

It says it's 1/1, but the hat itself is duped and the effect is unobtainable.

Sale #1: Sunbeams Chieftan (Knifestorm owner added 1 bud + 5 keys + 5 ref) (4.2 buds, rounded and overpay calculated)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19471946 - Claims to have sold it for ^that^ much, but he added some.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19814456 - New owner after the trade's trade

I did the math, 5.8 + 6.3 = 12.1 / 2 = 6.05 x 0.9 = 5.445 - > 5.5 rounded - 1 bud = 4.5 - 5 keys (0.29 buds) = 4.21 - 5 refined (0.04 buds) = 4.17 -> 4.2 Rounded (Refined step was useless but I had to do it)

Sale #2: 5 buds pure

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19814456 - Look at last one by Slaush, offered 5 pure

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19891054 - 5 pure now in the previous cheiftan owner's hands

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19906401 - Slaush's trade

I feel bad for dropping such a sexy effect :*(

5.445 is actually closer to 5.4

I dunno on this, the last digit rounds the the 4 to 5, and then that 5 the next one to 5.

45 < 50, so you round it down.

But... but... but 5 and anything above 5 is rounded up...

          Damn you math

Then if you round the 45 to 50, it will still be 5.45. Then you round that to 5.4.

But 5.45 ends with 5, which means I round up.

What I was taught was that 5 and above was rounded up. So yeah :/

          that's not how math works

            Dis shit is 2complicated

can some mod please explain this whole rounding thing

rounding isnt specific to this site. please tell me you are aware of this. anyway, to teach you a valuable life skill, when rounding to one significant figure, 0.5≤x<1.5 = 1 and similarly, 0≤x<0.5 = 0

So applying this to your 2 sig fig rounding, you round down to 5.4 as 5.445<5.5.

              Hope this helps

All I was ever taught was this:

                0,1,2,3,4 = Round Down

                5,6,7,8,9 = Round Up

I also live in Canada, and since we removed the penny we have to round to the nearest 5 cents when using cash. The same rule applies there.

I'm just going to leave this suggestion open unless a mod says that the high end is invalid in terms of rounding, so until then.

in theory 5.445 rounds to 5.5 (5.445 --> 5.45 --> 5.5) but it doesnt work like that as 445 is closer to 400 than 500 so it rounds to 400 (or 5.4)

          Oh now I geddit

Am I in math class here or am I on backpack.tf?

            Why not both? >:3
